When are you going to start asking WHY WHY WHY those TPers haven't done the right thing?
You have the rumblings starting, face it. These guys are now politicians, interested only in hanging onto whatever power they think they have.
Senator Gowdy knows as well as anyone else that there are laws in place that address the concerns he says he has. He should address his speechifying toward funding adequately to take care of those laws.
It's a shame, isn't it? That super majority thing ... (show quote)

Why doesn't Obama, et al follow the "laws that are already in place" rather than ignoring or making their own as they go along?

He does that because too many of our people just don't seem to understand the rule of law that has kept us being such a great nation for so long. Gowdy is trying to explain this along with the fact that the Constitution created Congress to make laws and the executive branch to enforce those laws. Obama has tried very hard to switch that to him creating laws and enforcing them.

Catch 22: What I heard Mr. Gowdy say to Dumocraps was: "what goes around comes around." Dumocraps support of Bummers lawless actions are going to attach to a Republican President . Dumocraps are not thinking about losing the executive. They will lose it. Their support will come full circle to bite them in the @@@.

In this video Gowdy does a great job of explaining how important law is in this country. Of course, he is getting at the problem with the last major executive action of The One when he put forth his Amnesty "law". Gowdy does such a good job of reading his short speech and in the last minute of the video he tells those employers what will certainly happen to them if they keep supporting Obama's new definition of prosecutorial discretion and what the outcome of allowing him to do these things will certainly result in. Yes, he tells the Dems and those employers that the day will come when they beg for the return of the use of law to govern us with.

Trey Gowdy is a great man. I could watch his comments and speeches all day long. I agree with everything I've heard him say. I wish I had a Representative like him. We need 524 Senators and Representatives just like him.

jelun, In your vast knowledge of politics displayed on this forum, I would have assumed that you knew that Trey Gowdy is NOT a Senator. He is a Representative. Congressman Trey Gowdy.

I really don't understand why they just don't try this whole administration for treason. Every stinking one of them is guilty of something and Obama has stunk up the constitution wiping his ass with it. I hear they're afraid of a race war if they try to impeach him, but if that is it, then why in the hell does the GOP keep giving in. They need to grow a pair and do the right thing. To hell with a race war. When Obama declares martial law, there will be more than a race war to be concerned with.

Too many people are willing to allow Obama to pull off his Amnesty plot without fighting him at all. Gowdy tries and tries to get people to understand that if he gets by this one our system of laws sitting on top of the Constitution will soon erode away. I guess it sure is the Congress that is holding us back. The GOP has control of both houses of Congress and yet they are allowing the Democrats to pull this amnesty thing on them.

Why in hell do they allow the super majority vote thing to remain in the Senate. They do have enough people to vote that thing out.

oldroy-even if they invoked the nuclear option (51 votes), Obama would veto any legislation that derails his amnesty., Then you need 67 votes to override a presidential veto so you are back to square one. If we had a republican president, McConnell could use the nuclear option effectively . Yes, republicans control both houses of congress but still do not have enough votes. Suspending Senate rules will not help the republicans as long as Obama is president. Good Luck America !!!

BULL! There are some idiots who argue the same thing you do on the Senate floor and call themselves Republicans. SOME of us, however, recall a certain episode where anyone who understood law, KNEW that Obamacare was going to be found UNCONSTITUTIONAL. BUT they didn't count on Roberts selling out the rule of law and twisting Obamacare into a TAX so it would be legal! NOW there are many who think that the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals will uphold Judge Andrew Hanen's ruling.

Well I'll tell you what. I have NEVER believed in counting your chickens before they're hatched. To quote a great baseball idol, "It ain't over 'til it's over."
