This is not to say that people on the Right make me very ill. I truly like and respect many of their voices, and have had cause to change my opinion. However, their disgusting and basic Social Darwinism in regards to the middle class and labor force is the silent revolution that will disintegrate, not overthrow, democracy.

I recall starting at 1.75 an hour. It was yes sir, no sir, show up 10-15 min early for my shift, stay the same amount after my shift happily if need because I was happy to have a job, and was taught by my father to take pride in my work, an hustle, don't be a slacker. Because of excellent reference working as a cook starting at age 13, by age 19 and several restaurants behind me I had worked my way to Sous Chef, granted I lacked certain knowledge base, but hard work and desire to achieve. (Thanks dad) later as my career changed industries, many achievements were reached, with dozens of managers under my wings. 1990's rolled around an hiring liked minded came with more effort. Late 1990's and it occured that a social shift had risen in our country. New hires wanted success without having the hard work ethics that at one time was common in our country. Early 2,000 ' s it became even more pronounced, workers wanted the fast advancement, complained about Co workers, what was wrong with the company, their life, constant complainers, producing about 60% less work than my earlier generation. By 2013, my last year companies I consulted profits, production, customer satisfaction in most cases increased upwards to 50% why? 100% effort went into hiring and firing to find that person who wanted to work. In the 80's 5-6 out of ten had what it took, 90's, I would have to interview 25-30 for that same 5-6. In 2013, mass hiring work shops, interview 50-60 people and hope for 2 or 3. Now the social shift wants to not only use elbow grease, but wants the no skill jobs like the one that was my first job, the job that requires very little mental and training for tripled wages. They base the need for more wages on what the business profits, rather than the brainless low skill job they are doing. "So if the company makes more, so should i" instead of, if I want to earn more I'm going to stand out, get promoted, or be looking for a higher paid line of work, based on my merits, reliability, hard worker, polite, respectful, and a dynamic set of references.
I say you get paid what your worth, left in the employers hands not government. One may earn five bucks an hour, and another twelve, not based on a nothing but quality of work. You don't like it, your fired! Parents are raising selfish, lazy, narcissistic, whinning, want to be on Facebook, texting, uncompassionate haters, with a give me give me attitude. They are called indoctrinated progressives.

Here is what I think of as social Darwinism: The Progressives would have you believe that Political Correctness is a noble effort to foment fairness & equality. --- Here is the reality: Political Correctness is Suppression of the Truth for the Purpose of Advancing the Left Wing Agenda. P.C. Is, a retreat from reason, clear thinking and plain speaking. P.C. Is, in fact, a war on truth disguised as being polite, considerate and not being offensive. Political Correctness is a form of mind control, meant to tell you how and what to think by controlling and limiting free speech. It intends to reeducate our children and undermine public opinion. It is cultural Marxism, the purpose of which is to weaken the defenses of a free democracy. It is a well known and well documented Communist subversion tactic and procedure, designed to avoid debate and to shut up the opposition. Political correctness is meant to be a straitjacket for the conservative mind. It is censorship, pure and simple. Beyond that it is designed to make the liberal feel superior -- better, finer, more caring and noble about himself, and therefore to arrogantly feel that he is enlightened. At the same time, Political Correctness instills hatred, in the liberal, for the conservatives and their moral and ethical conservative values. It is Intended to make a leftist revolution seem desirable.

My opinion is that you are wrong, mainly because you look at actions and think intentions are more important than results. You ignore the effects of incentives and unintended consequences of the (well intended?) government actions.

My cure for feeling sick about liberalism is to take a dose of common sense and concentrate. Maybe it would work for you.

Or, maybe you do understand that socialism will eventually result if the trend continues...??? and that is what you want.

When Clinton was President, his first two years were in such a terrible recession, because the Democrats that controlled Congress, for what had seemed forever, had created a socialistic state, with as many people living off the federal government then, as there are today, and the Republicans, in an attempt to get people to vote for them in order to give them a chance of possibly taking majority control of the Senate, but the Democrats having such a huge majority in the House of Representatives, they thought they hadn't a chance to win a majority there, but hoped to make some gains, came up with the 'Contract with America', which was a plan to bring the country out of Clinton's recession. The American people, suffering so badly from Clinton's recession, voted for the Republicans, who won majority control of the Senate, but to their surprise also won majority control over the House of Representatives too, for the first time in 44 years. They then passed their 'Contract with America' in less than 30 days, which the media claimed was a record for passing a single campaign promise in that short of a period of time, which consisted of 23 items, that when passed Clinton vetoed two of them, which were 'Voluntary Prayer in Public Schools' and 'A Ban on the Procedure of Partial Birth Abortion', while the other 21 items concerned entitlement programs only, kicking 90% of the people on the government dole off of those entitlement programs. This resulted in the federal government not having to pay out billions of dollars every month for entitlement programs, but those 90% of the people that were kicked off those entitlement programs had to make a living, so they all went out and got jobs instead of living off the government's dole, and they then started paying billions of dollars into the federal government each month in taxes, which stopped the huge deficits of Clinton's first two years, eventually balancing the budget, and even creating a surplus of tax funds, which caused the recession to be over and started a booming economy, just by getting people off of welfare, and causing them to have to get a job to live. These are historical facts, and the way the USA was meant to be run, and the American people meant to live, independent and self-reliant, which unfortunately sometimes has to be forced on them, but is the reason they all immigrated to the USA in the first place. That's 'Conservatism', and if people are in dire need, that's what their fellow man is for, 'Their Brothers Keeper', which the Church helps them to do this, and which is not the responsibility of the federal government, which most liberals will try to take advantage of and live off it's handouts, erroneously called entitlements, for governments don't go to heaven for what GOD tells people is their responsibility and what they should do for their fellow man.
