Yep. Shutting down the government hurts. Perhaps, it is political suicide. It seems the only people concerned for the future of our country are those ready to shut down government to balance the budget. That our "lame duck" president and our senate oppose fiscal stability for our country is very troubling.

As usual the poll askes the wrong question. No one wants the government shut down they just want ObamaCare shut down, just listen Pew has 53% remove it, 5% don't know and 43% keep it. Senate has a tough choice, do I was to keep my job or am I'm I willing to give it up.

News flash! The only time the American people are safe is when government is shut down. Their "doing their job" is what has put us into this fiscal mess, is what has created racial unrest, is what has driven away jobs. Which of these things do you cherish so much that you want more of it?

How? First, this IS NOT a complete government shutdown the House voted for, all aspects of government will be funded EXCEPT Obamacare! Comprende?

The conservatives in the House are simply standing on principle FOR ONCE. We'll see if it makes it out of the Senate, which is unlikely to happen. If it does not prevail in the Senate then that will give us a good fiscal platform to run on in the 2014 mid-terms. If Obamacare is funded, it is going to be really interesting next year when all these people receive higher insurance premiums, and/or IRS fines for not having insurance! They're going to be absolutely shocked!
