read it. (global highlights)

annual averaged temp 0.69 C. breaking the previous records by 0.04 C.

Are you following?

Now scroll all the way down to the table in the SOTC report where it reports the uncertainties.

See the ocean and land temp anomaly. Its 0.69 +/- 0.09 C. The +/- 0.09 IS THE UNCERTAINTY.

The uncertainty in the anomaly temperature is more that twice the amount it beat the record temp by that they have their panties all in a bunch about.

Can you find that?

See here. https://bobtisdale.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/figure-1-rankings.png

Its underlined in red so you can find it. It's in the original report with no red underlining.

THATS WHAT I"M TALKING ABOUT.
Here ya go...its here url http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov... (show quote)

The one talks about the global average temperature overall being +.04 the previous record set in 2005/2010.

The one in the chart below deals with the statement before that stating that it was +.69 from the 20th century average.

The two are different statistics. To apply the bias of +/- .09 to the former statistic WOULD earn you an F on a paper.

Yeah, I actually take the time to read these things. I don't know why.

To save time I always skip over whatever gloom and doom, grandiose, government grant paid for, conclusion they are making and go right to the data, bias and uncertainty and what data they excluded .

They always bury that stuff way into the report or at the end.

You can guess why. They don't want anyone to really notice it.

What pisses me off most is my tax dollars are paying for these poor studies that are being used to generate even more taxes (the carbon credit , i.e. tax scheme).
Yeah, I actually take the time to read these thing... (show quote)

Yeah skipping over things tends to cause you to not receive all the facts.

Above is the web-site for Dr. Roy Spencer. He is among the almost 3 percent who sees global-warming/climate change for what it really is. A political scam.

Lightning, I have posted this link before on OPP. Spencer is one of the few who call it what it is...A scam. In my research over the many articles that deal with CO 2 in the atmosphere, the best level, historically has been found to be between 400-500 ppm. Even at this level, it is miniscule in terms of the total atmospheric content.
It's good for plant life, which, in turn is good for humans as the natural cycles of transpiration produce oxygen levels that stay in balance.

If you have read Dr. Spencer's website thoroughly, he points out the biggest " Greenhouse" gas is water vapor. So, unless we can stop the normal process of evaporation and precipitation, we are doomed!

And god help us all if a volcano explodes!

The liberal environmentalists go from one crisis to another. Ozone hole? Do you hear anything about that anymore?
Obama doubled down last nigh with his, " The biggest danger facing future generations is climate change...Rising of the oceans.."
Give me a fuc**** break!

So, keep a crisis going and the LIV will lap it up.

So, how do explain global temperatures remaining unchanged over the past eighteen years?

So how do you explain that 2014 was particularly warm, as you may have heard—1.24 degrees Fahrenheit higher than the global average for the last century and the hottest year in the history of looking at such stuff.

Oh, that's right ... cycles. LOL!??

How are we being nibbled on?

Also what in heck difference would it make what the US would do about carbon? It has nil effect on the climate.
every time we have a spill it is a nibble. when acid rain kills forests and citys go on smog alert it is a nibble. There are many industrialized nations who do not enforce enviornmental rules. America has some of the strongest enviornmental protection laws in the world.. The result is we have better air and water than most regions in the world. I don't want to give that up.At the same time I don't want to see economic welfare of people be abandoned over some obscure moth or tree mouse. Common sense is needed

I see this comment a lot, in climate change debates. What I'd really like to see is a list of these scientists and where they received their degrees. It would also be nice to see what kind of experience they have. If you can include verified scientific data that supports their claims, that would be nice.

I really don't believe that anyone can provide this data, because I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist. So. Can anyone show me who these 97% are? BTW, I'm not holding my breath.

It is false, end of story.

Several hundred years ago, the climate in England was warm enough to grow certain kinds of fruit that will no longer grow there because it is too cool. This suggests that there were times when the climate was warmer than today. During the last Ice Age, there was more atmospheric Carbon Dioxide than today. There has been no measurable change in global warming trends in the last 18 years. The Antarctic Ice Cap is growing and thickening. Yes, climate change is cyclical. How much of it is anthropogenic is very much open to debate.

Yes, and in the 1800s there was a mini ice age, the Thames froze over and the people could ice skate on it. Waaay before that, the Vikings made it to Newfoundland and grew grapes at least that is the history archaeologists determined. Why would they abandon their colony...? Got too cold, I guess. But, it must have warm enough for a colony to survive
How long? Nobody really knows.
It is important to note that ACCURATE temperature readings have only come about in the last 50 years or so. This is a blink of an eye in world history. So, the knee jerk reactions of the environmentalists are just that. One year it could be hot...One year cool. But, they use emotion more than science...Polar bears having to swim because the ice flows are diminishing...Hey! Polar bears swim anyway! That's what they do.
Don't feel sorry for them, feel sorry for yourself if you encounter one in the wild! They know what they are doing.
But, Obama says that Climate Change is the biggest danger to future generations...yeah. The oceans are going to wipe out all coastal cities.
Never do they consider the sun in all this...because it can't be taxed!
Just follow the money, you'll find the shysters.

This is it! All that ash in the air acts like an umbrella shielding earth from the sun's light and heat. How many of these volcanoes are going off today ? Wow. Absolutely incredible. This is part of that 206 year Relational Cycle of sunspots driving earth's warming and cooling and shifting plate tectonics triggering the volcanoes.
