He said that it is still something he wants to get done. Of course the conservatives will not let it happen if they can stop it. Being conservative you would think they would want it closed yesterday if not last year. After all it costs 174,000 per prisoner per year to keep them there whereas it costs 64,000 per prisoner to keep one in prison here. And there is a new prison that is empty and waiting for them.

And are not conservatives supposed to be the most patriotic, American, constitution defenders? Now i'm no constitutional lawyer, but i'm pretty sure the 5th and 14th amendments mention something about due process....

That's a bit of a false dichotomy, but that's beside the point. What authority do we hold to assert that because we were born on this side of the arbitrary line we drew in the sand our rights are innate and yours are not.
