During a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing concerning the events leading up to the Sept.11, 2012 attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, Democrats left the room and refused to listen to the testimony of parents of those slain at the diplomatic compound.

Patricia Smith, the mother of Information Management Officer Sean Smith, who was killed in the 9/11 Benghazi attack and Charles Woods, the father of Navy Seal Tyrone Woods, who was also killed, testified about the lives and untimely deaths of their sons.

Right before the testimony began, according to Representative Darryl Issa (R-CA) the majority of Democratic lawmakers excused themselves from the hearings.

According to reports, the only Democrats who stayed were Ranking Member Elijah Cummings (MD) and Representative Jackie Speier (CA).

Here is a list of the ones who ran away like the cowards they are:

If any of these cowards are up for reelection in your districts and you still vote for them, then you can consider yourself the reason our country is in the mess it's in.

Now isn't it amazing that your link only listed two Democrats that walked out on the hearing, but when I checked out over 10 websites, they all said that there were only two that stayed? Check this out for yourself if you wish. Hannity even said the same thing, but of course you, like all Democrats, don't believe a thing that FOX NEWS airs, do you? The one's I checked even said that the Democrat section was nearly empty, and two also included the same names that I listed.

BTW, why are you so down on Issa? Is it because he wants to show your president to be the phony that most of the world knows by now? Is it because he wants the world to know that all Americans aren't political puppets that some are? Are you one of those that could not wait for president Bush to make an honest gaffe so you and yours could make a production of it? But how come you and yours never seem to catch the stupid remarks that your idiot is always making? Even foreign countries catch them, but you Democrat puppets are so blindly in love with this imposter that anything he slobbers out is an act of pure genius.

All the democrats are the same, anything that might make them look guilty or responsible is something they don't want to be around for. If all the information came out in the open about these so called false scandles they would all be run out of fort fumble on a rail. Non presence is the best way to avoid quilt.

When I see the democrats response to most things like this I am saddened, I feel sure that they know that they are not telling the truth but say it anyway or attack the messenger. But If they really believe what they are saying then the sad and most important part of that is that they are lazily lying to themselves by not trying to be better informed; Nothing good ever comes from lying to yourself. The problems are never resolved.

The grief of parents who lost children in the service of their country is not a partisan thing. Their loss, and their inconceivable contribution to our freedom, safety and welfare cannot be overstated, and it is not a conservative or liberal loss. To turn away and walk out before such a testimony is unforgivable. It is nothing less than spitting on the graves of those who died to give these pumped up, cowardly, fat-cat leeches their high positions and their limousines and their state dinners and inaugural balls.

They should be ashamed.

And anyone who continues to vote for them should be equally ashamed, for those voters are abusing the privilege that far better men have died to ensure.

Can anyone fill in the point of the hearing? Was its sole purpose to give the parents an opportunity to talk about their lost offspring? The parents (I would not expect) did not have any extra information about what happened in Benghazi or the State Dept or the White House, did they?

The disrespectful behavior may have been a beautifully executed PR trap -- it does not excuse it, but it may help explain how career politicians could have been made to look so stupid and uncaring.
