Get back on your chair Ginny. I was just talking about the chance that surely if there weren't any black kids in that college something had gone awry. I am not happy that colleges have to accept blacks but it is there anyway.

I do believe that if blacks were the majority in that crowd there would have been a lot more need for police.

Thanks. Just having one of those days. I do not believe that any schools from preschool through college can be all white. But, there are more than one all black colleges and schools......go figure!

Out here in the sticks most of our schools are all white other than a few illegal aliens. No blacks in the region, at all.

I got a kick out of all those police showing up for that "riot" in which the kids just went down the street having fun. I think it appeared there were more than just few of them drunk.

There were probably more than just a few that had one or a dozen too many, but they were not driving which was a good thing. Just having a night out and some fun.

You can see the general location I live in at the left side of my post. I live about 30 miles from Oklahoma just a little bit west of the midpoint, east and west, in Kansas. Honestly we have only one black living in town and his little girl is far from high school. Well there are two or three more of them working in the oil patch but none of them will be here long. I would far more like to have them around longer than some of the illegals we have. Hey, we do have some of the Mexican bloodlines who have been citizens since their forbearers came in with the cattle drives of the late 19th century but they are all the way assimilated and good citizens.

I don't know what you would do for a house since they are very dear in our tiny town because of all the oil people who have come in in the last year. Many for drilling and many for fracking. They pay such high prices for even hovels it is unbelievable.

I am sorry we got into it a bit, especially since I didn't mean for it to get started.

Can you explain that a little further? It's not that I think it's not true but I'm inclined to believe it has something to do with officers' safety and waiting until more uniforms arrive on the scene. But the way you describe it is a blatant public safety issue for your entire community. Thanks.

I think your question was directed at me, since I am the only one that replied to your post. (If you will hit the quote reply, it will automatically place your response correctly. It took me several tries before someone pointed that out to me). But to the question: "Oderint dum metuant," is, as I said, a Latin phrase meaning "Let them hate, so long as they fear." It is attributed to the Roman Emperor Caligula, who ruled from 37 A.D. till (I think) 41 or 42 A.D. While history has not been kind to him, calling him insane, the fact is that much of the calumnies written about him were the result of two Roman historians "research." These two were not even born when Caligula ruled. His real name was Gaius, son of the general Germanicus.
Whether Caligula was insane or not, he believed in "Peace through superior firepower." He did not negotiate, he ordered. (Dictated, if you wish). In one instance, while dealing with an uncooperative Roman Senate, he had his horse declared a Senator, claiming, (with some justification) that the horse was smarter than most of the Senators. Many of the claims made about him have been proven false, but he was still assassinated.
The phrase "Oderint, dum metuant" describes my feelings toward mobs, black or otherwise. In addition to the AK, I also recommend my first choice, a Mossberg 500. I also do not leave my yard without either one of my Glocks, or one of my Sigs. I also believe that 9mm were invented by Germans to kill Frenchmen, and for dangerous people you need a gun in a caliber that, at minimum, begins with.4. My point in saying this is not to brag, but to illustrate my point. I live in a small town, everyone knows who carries a gun, and while a certain element may not like us, they do respect us.
