You will not walk in darkness
2 Samuel 22:29
For Thou art my lamp, O Lord; and the Lord will enlighten my darkness."
In many ways the Holy Spirit will come to you, not only to answer questions you have about the Bible, but warnings, encouragement, and general information. He will enlighten your darkness, but you have to learn to listen, you have to learn to heed His gentle urging to action - lost time will be a loss for you. The Holy Spirit is that feeling in your gut when you know something isn't right - heed it, it is real.
A true story: Our Pastor told about his mother having a job, at a local factory.
She got off work late in the evening, it was dark, she was tired so she headed
for the quickest way home. She kept getting this urge that told
her - "not this route." She even turned off on the final leg of her route,
but the urge became so strong, she turned around and went back to
take the other - and now - longer route home.
The next day, she read accounts of that final leg having been blocked
by a car parked across the road. Three men were waiting for some
unsuspecting traveler to come along, stop, and be robbed. Someone did
come along, in a truck. When they surveyed the situation, they gunned
it and ran through the ditch. Sending the three fellows jumping for
safety. They went home, called the sheriff, but by the time the sheriff
got there the three were gone.
There are many such stories out there, along with knowledge, and insight from the Spirit. God loves you, He wants you informed - LISTEN!

Bend from heaven Thy gracious ear;
While our waiting souls adore Thee,
Friend of helpless sinners, hear:
By Thy mercy,
Oh, deliver us, good Lord.
2 From the depths of nature's blindness,
From the hardening power of sin,
From all malice and unkindness,
From the pride that lurks within,
By Thy mercy,
Oh, deliver us, good Lord.
3 When temptation sorely presses,
In the day of Satan's power,
In our times of deep distresses,
In each dark and trying hour,
By Thy mercy,
Oh, deliver us, good Lord.
4 When the world around is smiling,
In the time of wealth and ease,
Earthly joys our hearts beguiling,
In the day of health and peace,
By Thy mercy,
Oh, deliver us, good Lord.
5 In the weary hours of sickness,
In the times of grief and pain,
When we feel our mortal weakness,
When all human help is vain,
By Thy mercy,
Oh, deliver us, good Lord.
6 In the solemn hour of dying,
In the awful judgment day,
May our souls, on Thee relying,
Find Thee still our hope and stay:
By Thy mercy,
Oh, deliver us, good Lord.
