Why did it take until 100 years after the Civil War, until 1964, to pass a Civil Rights Act? Because the Democratic Party would not take its boot off the neck of the black man until Martin Luther King made the black vote a political force. Dedicated to being in power above all else, the Democrats had to make a U-turn on their race policy in the 1960s and join the Republicans in passing the Civil Rights Act because they realized that after the black vote was counted, they were not going to win any more national elections without it.

But there was a problem. How was the Democratic Party going to overcome its deplorable record on race? It was the party of slavery, segregation, lynching, and the Klan.

What to do now? Get back in front of history with comprehensive rather than palliative welfare -- the Great Society. The Democratic Party would become the friend of the black community by giving it things it wasn’t asking for, but were hard to resist.

But there is a big problem with comprehensive welfare: it destroys the role of men in the community and this was disproportionately true of the black community. There is nothing worse than taking away a person’s mission in life, making that person unnecessary and thus unwanted. That is evil. And today we see the results of that evil.

But over the last 50 years, the Democratic Party wiped out the black family by wiping out the role of black men in order to stay in power. The black family had withstood 250 years of slavery and 100 years of Jim Crow, but was destroyed by 50 years of Liberalism. In 1960, the illegitimacy rate in the black community was 30%. Now it is 78%. And as Star Parker has pointed out, there is nothing unique about blacks. Whites are now where blacks were in 1960 and are on the same path.

What is the result of this devastation? There are now two Americas -- Welfare America and Enterprise America.

Enterprise America
Republican Party
Stay in school
Get by contributing
Selling:
identifying customer needs, making yourself and your product attractive to a customer
Achievement
Personal responsibility
Historic success – example of America to the world
Building wealth
Making personal and family history
Supporting a strong community

Welfare America
Democratic Party
School unimportant – drop out
Get by demanding
In your face:
intimidating those around you
Achievement is “privilege”
Society’s fault
Historic failure – socialist societies everywhere
Supported by builders of wealth
Drifting
No stake in community; gang as community

The Democratic Party is the party of Welfare America and the Republican Party is the part of Enterprise America. Enterprise America is that part of America that is hands-on in its affairs. That does not mean the top managers of big business, which either out of necessity or out of temperament, in many cases cozy up to Big Government. There is also the billionaire effect, where billionaires, unaware of the wellspring of their own success, do not preach what they practice and support Welfare America for reasons of social standing.

What a bunch of bull shit!!! The Republican Party has sold itself out to the highest bidder. Why else would they support subsidies for big oil and tax cuts for the wealthy? Why do they resist minimum wages that would provide a living standard that would make welfare unattractive? They harp on illegal immigrants, while these immigrants do their dirty work that no body wants to do and make their employers wealthy. They then take their money and put into a foreign tax haven to avoid US taxes. Most congressmen are millionaires and almost all US senators are millionaires (both parties). They look out after their millionaire friends and the rest of us be dammed! There are two Americas all right, but not the way they are described above.

IF then Republican party has sold it's self out to the wealthy businessmen, the Democratic party has sold it's self out to the "poor" & have taken away their incentive to "work", the dems give them too much & much of it is given as incentive to vote vote vote...Without having to show a picture identification that has to be shown for about anything else we want to do...So I don't completely agree with you...Bigger Government is not the way to go...less is much better!

This is also true. The Republican party is no different than the Democrats.

welfare should be like unemployment was in the 1950's and '60s. A person could draw unemployment for a total of 26 weeks, after that you were on your own. If a person cannot find a job in six months they "ain't" never gonna find a job. For those on welfare, they need to get off their butt and away from their 70 inch flat screen TV and get a job.

Sad fact is the blacks suffer more from the family breakdown because the demo's have conditioned them to think it's all the white folks cause which most but not all have brought into the demo's talking points !

What makes me sad is how many of these black kids growing up without their Dad's influence !

How many of these kids if given moral guidance from a father figure could have been Dr's / lawyers / business owners / accountants / nurses etc etc instead many end up doing what Micheal Brown became !

It's makes me very SAD SAD SAD with the waste of brilliant black young minds who could have lead productive filled lives and reach for their dreams and become the best that is in them !

You are the one "Full of Shit" ALL of the communist-democrap front orgs are tax exempt! And in their quest to destroy our economy and hence our whole way of life, You demoncraps have created the welfare class, and like good 'NEIGHBORHOOD ORGANIZERS" you promote communist dogma. Using the environmental groups to promote communist lies, and infesting the education system, you have corrupted America! nothing comes from the Democrap party except lies!

Relative to this I read some where recently & my figures are based on my fairly good memory as I can't locate the article I read...it was found in New York State that 850 people are on I believe the voting rolls for Democrats, people who's birth dates make them 165 years of age...there was no break down of how many were other ages between 100 & 165...but it would be a good amount I'm sure...I'm still searching for the article I read this from. I will post it when & if I find it. I give this information because the more I thought about it, the more I found it to be ridiculous that this could happen...

Both of these statements are pretty much correct. The black family has been destroyed by "The Great Society" welfare program. The Latino family is next. Yes both parties are to blame, the only way to correct the problem is to get into the machinery of both parties and take control of both parties and pull them both back to American ideals.
Get rid of the department of education, they have dumbed down the electorate foe the last forty years. Very few young people (black, white,or brown) know what the U.S. Was founded to be. It is the shining city on. The hill. Our youth need to be taught that, and not the socialist bull shit lies. That are the current fodder being taught in today's public schools. We NEED to get rid of this multiculturalism crap and start teaching the pride of being an American !
Teach the pledge of allegiance and the Lord's Prayer every morning to start the school day. that prescription has worked for my generation and the two before that.

What about that post didn't you understand? If I were a Dem. I would love the state because it's liberal as all get out. Remember, I said I MOVED! Now the state I moved to is suffering the same on-slaughter.There is no escape. And we're outnumbered by the current party in power.

 The two Americas are, 1. the rich and 2. everybody else. We know which one is being represented by OUR Government and it isn't #2. All the rhetoric about individual rights and all of that is just a load of - #2.
