Similiar to the line from a Field Of Dreams, "If you build it, they will come," if you label it, they will BEcome. Addressing comments, simply discussing the topic as stated here, without automatically labeling the commentor may help us find solutions instead of enemies.
Does anything or everything have to fall under a label of Liberal or Conservative (and I am not talking about Democrat and Republican, though those labels also cause problems)?
For the colonists, was being for the American Revolution liberal or conservative? For the colonists, was being against the American Revolution liberal or conservative?
If a Southerner, was being a slave-owner liberal or conservative? If a Southerner, was being against slavery liberal or conservative?
If you were a steel worker back in the early 1900s, was organizing against a cut in wages, the firing of fellow workers, then forced to work 12 hour shifts, 6 days a week with an expected increase of productivity for the firings, where 1 out of every 11 workers died in unsafe conditions or take a hike just to increase profit for the owners liberal or conservative? (I know, just the phrasing will get an immediate label, despite the fact it was a reality at that time.)

http://michaelcatt.com/2012/03/the-problem-with-labels/"The longer I live, the more I detest being labeled. I resent being labeled by the region of the country that I live in. Typically, those of us in the South have labels for Yankees (oops, theres a label), and those in the North have a label for those below the Mason Dixon Line. The danger is that we tend to judge someone by a preconceived disposition that may have no basis in fact.
Now before I go any further, there are some labels Im proud of. Not all labels are bad. Im proud to wear the label of husband and father. I rejoice that God called me to wear the label of pastor. Im grateful when someone labels me their friend. I am unashamed to call myself one who is committed to the inspiration and inerrancy of Scripture. These are good labels.
When it comes to labels and religion, everyone wants to fit you into their system of preconceived ideas. Often when I meet someone and they find out what denomination I serve, they turn me off before they ever get to know me. I have great distaste for those who want to label me by a denomination. Not every church in my denomination is the same. In every denomination there are churches that tarnish the name of that particular persuasion.
