When it was overridden by the GOP he signed it kicking and screaming. Then the tech explosion hit. Everyone was riding that wave,(who was smart enough to get in cheap and sell for unrealistic profits), and the the housing market took off. But that was an illusion, when Frank &Dodd got through screwing it up,(as if politicians can do anything else), the housing bubble burst. Construction workers were out of work people who took out mortgages they knew they would never be able to pay for lost their homes foreclosure was sky high, and if you will remember your history Bush told the Congress that F&D was bad, bad bad for everyone involved. See, when you have actually worked in the real world before holding office you understand how said world works. Frank &Dodd couldn't find their ears unless someone said something. So Clinton,(who did wise up his second term and try to work somewhat with the other side), is made to look like a hero. Personally the one main problem I have with Clinton is he did nothing in '93 about the twin towers being bombed and having the chance 3 TIMES to get bin Laden.
