The fault lies with the Founding Fathers. But they had other things on their mind: profit and no taxes.

When you cut through all the smoke and mirrors, many of the founding slavers had one goal---to replace an English aristocracy with an American one.

They never intended to have an inclusive society and they did everything in their power to prevent that from happening.

Follow their behavior.....not their eloquent hollow proclamations.

Most of them could use their tongues better than any $100 hooker.

Of course most of them didn't have to worry about paying for hookers when their needs could be met by a midnight ramble over to the slave quarters.

Wow! KHH1. This is the most brilliant analytical post I have ever seen on OPP. You finally showed off the full range of your intellectual gifts.

Many, many kudos.

The only problem I can see with your post is that much of your intended audience is not only bereft of compassion, they are grossly bereft of the cognitive ablilities that one would need to understand your essay. Unfortunately, on OPP, you still have the kind of slack jawed individuals whose main talent, with their mouth, is catching flies----you know those folks whose lips move when they are sounding out the words of their comic books.

Not to slight anyone else, but I finally can look forward in anticipation of reading someone who has razor sharp perceptions and a gift in being able to enunciate those perceptions.

Just curious, would you ever consider running for public office? We all need to be aware of where our next Barack Obamas or Elizabeth Warrens will be coming from.

Well Mr. I get paid handsomely, I thought you libs were against the evils of capitalism? And I bet you give at least 15% of your income to help the poor. So what your really saying is liberals are sympathetic to the way you have done them,( blacks), all these years? So that explains the liberal Stockholm syndrome. After all the years of treating us like, well slaves and trash you telling me you and your fellow libs are feeling a twinge of guilt. Look well paid,(only a liberal would tell anyone their well paid to make up for the menial jobs they do have), where do you get well paid at? Which school, institute or are you free lance? Is Devon your little pocket mouse? And by the way Devon aka would be draft dodger, your next Warren will come from the reservation of course. As for another Barry the fairy Soetoro, just pick up your nearest rock you can't miss it. You Mensch you

Know a lot about hookers do we man boobs? And there you go again with the slave remarks. Just can't keep it in huh. Yea, you libs care so much about us. That every chance you get you put in your little snide remarks. What's wrong, missing us calling you massa still? And only a commie/Marxist talks as much trash about the founders. Don't get mad about the constitution I'm sure "well paid" could buy both of you one way tickets to Cuba. Bet you won't take that offer. Sheesh, I'll buy both of you one. And that is a promise. Just let me know when you want to leave. You talk trash about this country but "well paid" would have us believe he makes tons. So if its so bad why don't you give that money to the govt. you love so much? That's what I thought. Let everybody else defend you while you trash the very system that has been good to you. And stop the slave talk, racist.

And the Swatsticker displayed in its Germanic glory is just faded history....

"Mr. McWhorter offers a way out. 'Given how urgent things such as the War on Drugs and its effect on black men and the cops are, might we not simply walk on by the damned flag?” he writes, adding that if we are “O.K. with ourselves, we do not require that our environment be perfectly free of any visual evidence historically connectable to ills of the past.'

The other is a solution offered once before, by none other than Kanye West, who decided to take back the flag, wearing it on his clothing and selling it on merchandise. Mr. McWhorter writes: 'His statement about the flag — ‘It’s my flag. Now what are you gonna do about it?’ — is my idea of Black Power.”

Those are both eminently sensible and intelligent approaches, IMHO. And the word is "Swastika", not "Swatsticker".

"The fault lies with the Founding Fathers."

Explain yourself asswipe. Our Founding Fathers sacrificed something that you can even imagine. They gave life and limb for your nasty ass to even say that un-American statement. You might think as Obama does that the Constitution is "Crude" and want to do away with it. But the Constitution is the genius of simply men many of them farmers. Their passion to be free and live their lives WITHOUT interference from the government is why they left GB and Europe in the first place.

The genius of the Constitution is that it always can be changed.
The genius of the Constitution is that it makes no permanent rule other than it's faith in the wisdom of ordinary people to govern themselves.
Our Founding Parents might have been august white middle aged farmers, but they were also great men, and like all great men they knew one thing all great should know.
That they didn't know everything. They knew that they were going to make mistakes.
But they made sure to leave away to correct their mistakes. They didn't think of themselves as leaders.
They wanted a government of Citizens, not royalty. A government of listeners, not lectures.
A government that could be changed, not stand still.
A President is not an elected King no matter how many bombs he can drop or how many Executive Orders he can illegally circumvent congress with, because the "Crude" Constitution doesn't trust him.
He is just a servant of the people. A "temp" servant at that. He is just a public servant.
The only bliss he should be searching for is the protection and welfare of all of the people and his personal freedom and justice for America.

Penn.St. you say? What was your major? How many minors? What year "in paper". Are you talking about the 'ol sheepskin? I have 3 so big deal. Like I've said some of the dumbest people I've ever met where hiding behind a desk or nameplate. If you have no real world experience your just a person that has a head full of book mush. And that's why our college students are so stupid. When the blind lead the blind both wind up in a ditch. Anyway gotta get back to the drubbing the commies are taking. Gotta love 'ol Barry

Couldn't have told those trolls better myself. What pisses them off is the founders had something they could only dream about, integrity. These commies know men and women sacrificed everything for ingrates like them and the only thing they bring to the table is their tired worn out B.S. I know the weather hasn't been hot so it can't be their tin foil hats unless the mother ship has arrived. Bunch of lemmings following Barry right off the cliff.

You f***ing Canadian c**ksucker. You criticize our Founding Fathers who sacrificed everything, even their lives for freedom and liberty. You have sacrificed nothing because you are nothing. A boil on the ass of society.

You are a taker not a giver. My Founding Fathers were givers all the way to there death. And in between their life and death they compromised with one another to create a Republic with the greatest of laws to govern themselves.

This I am sure of. You are not an American but a traitor. You curse our Founding Fathers, our Constitution, our very way of life. You are ZERO to me.

I also know that this is the greatest Nation every to be created. And now you asswipes are trying to tear it down.

Thomas Jefferson would think that we didn't listen to any of his warnings and his worst nightmare has come true. He would think, what a shame it is that so many risked their lives to give us freedom and we pissed it away for the promise of "free stuff" from the government.

"I think myself that we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious." --Thomas Jefferson

"The republican is the only form of government which is not eternally at open or secret war with the rights of mankind. --Thomas Jefferson - 1790

God I love this county...........

Tasine, many of the Vietnam War protesters were far more interested in the health and well being of our troops, than many of the jingoistic hawks.

Yes, as with any group of people, a few of the protesters were bad apples. However,I have never seen a war protester harrass a returning soldier.

I have however seen aggressive law enforcement thugs beat and tear gas and pepper spray peaceful demonstrators exercising their first amendment right to free speech and assembly.

You are definitely barking up the wrong tree,

That is pure bull shit. I was there. 90% of all chicken toed cowards were not peaceful. They were very angry idiots who knew nothing of what was going on. Just stupid idealistic college brats with a reason to be violent and get away with it. Most of the protesters were just followers like sheep. Just do what the guy in front of you does.

Don't try to get these draft dodgers off like you want all of your liberal sins atoned for.

You are trying to romanticize liberals and democrats.
