Lack of Humor Is My Delema...

I can get pretty opinionated at times, mostly when I stop seeing the humor in whatever is going on...

I know there is zero humor in men being brutally beheaded, DAMN!!! The Murders in Benghazi is another humorless event...

The lack of leadership in Afghanistan too... (And When A General Shows Some, Obama Fires Him!)

But when dealing with home grown Republicans trying to act like men, oh my, "Arnold" said about the CA Legislature(s) Over Some issue, that they were a bunch of "Girly-Men", that just busted me up, how appropriate for a CA Governor to say about the CA Legislature, "Fagg-ville U.S.A."...

Well the action of the "ball-less" GOP for the past 6 years, leads me top believe they could all fit in with "Arnolds" CA Legislators...

So we will see if they have grown a set... Don D.

RNC Chairman Declares Obama’s Amnesty “Un-American”

It’s about time we got some tough talk from Republican leadership as it pertains to Obama’s immigration strategy. In fact, it’s well past time. Speaking on a conference call with reporters and activists Monday, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus took aim at the president’s plan to give amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants.

It’s unconstitutional, illegal, and we don’t support it. It is wrong. It is un-American for a president to try and do such a thing. I want to make it clear: There is no part of me, there is not a molecule in my body that agrees with the president on executive amnesty.
Priebus followed the tough talk with a promise that Republicans would do everything possible to block executive amnesty if they win back the Senate on November 4th. Not only that, but he seemed rather confident that they could pull it off. He assured listeners that they would use every available measure, including lawsuits, defunding the government, and injunction to stop Obama.

The Dangers of Amnesty

There’s no question that amnesty would potentially be devastating for the country. Perhaps the worst aspect of the idea is that it would encourage others to try their luck at the border. After all, what could be more inspiring than the prospect of getting through, waiting a bit, and then becoming a legal citizen through questionable means? It certainly has a more appealing flavor to it than the prospect of being jailed and deported. We were assured this wouldn’t happen when we tried this the first time, in 1986. Today, there are millions more illegals, and we’re back at square one, rehashing the same old arguments.

That’s to say nothing of the monetary costs. A recent study by the Heritage Foundation found that amnesty would pave the way for today’s illegals to receive nearly $10 trillion in government benefits over the course of their lifetimes. This is hardly offset by the $3 trillion in taxes they would pay over that same period. At a time when we should be doing everything possible to eliminate this culture of dependency, amnesty is one of the worst moves we could make.

Can Republicans Do It?

Still, I don’t have a lot of confidence in the GOP’s chances of stopping it. Where was all this rhetoric six months ago? Priebus’s tough words feel like last-ditch election desperation from a party that has not done nearly enough to get control of illegal immigration. Boehner, McCarthy, Cantor; Republican leadership has been all too willing to include amnesty in their plans for immigration reform.

I hope Priebus is right. I hope Republicans take the Senate and do something with this opportunity. The people of this country are acutely aware that America is headed in the wrong direction, and a strong, conservative legislature could be enough to right the ship.

I guess we’ll see.

I don't trust ANY politician. They all seem to talk the talk, but none of them walk the walk. Politicians always seem to forget why they were put in office as soon as they get elected. One of these days we will get one that REALLY cares about America and we will all drop dead from shock.

That's why I'm putting my time into helping Carson get elected. When his name is mentioned, some say he had no experience but how has the last few presidents worked out for ya? (all politicians). It's time NOW for one to lead us and simply speak the truth with no bloviating. We CAN trust Carson to do what's right for America. How many more politicians are we going to trust?
