Democrats of old wouldn't claim today's Democrat Party - they'd oppose it. All decent Americans should be opposing it, and many, many decent people once were democrats, but the PTB have pushed the envelope to the edge of the precipice. I can't imagine Harry Truman or Partrick Moynihan voting for any of today's democrats, AKA socialists.
