I also went to Christian private schools until the fifth grade. When I entered the local school it was because I wanted to be with my neighborhood friends. Big mistake. I was over a year ahead of them and just went to be going . I learned to write in cursive in the first grade, then was told I couldn't do that when we moved in the second grade. I needed to learn to print. In public schools I learned to lie, skip class and take drugs. If I had it to do over I would have remained in Christian schools and probably could easily retire financially if I wanted to.

My kids now in mid 40s went to public schools and I could see the change happening then and today would NEVER put them in PS cause they do not get a good education and what they do learn is tilted so far left it is not funny.

JFK could not win the republican nod for president today because he would be considered to far right. Sad but true.

get rid of the WHOLE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. Ex-president JIMMY CARTER has a lot to reveal about WHY he had the drive for such a huge increase in the national budget. All that funding could be back in the states.

Jimmy Carter was the worst president we ever had until creepy lying Barry Insane came on the scene. I read some books by Jimmy many many years ago and could not understand why he was pro Palestine and pro Muslim and anti Israel. He also claimed to be a Christian but how could that be when he was so mentally messed up and so weak and harmful to our country? Like Obama I will say understanding this is above my pay grade. Of course Obama never even had an honest paycheck as a failed community organizer and failed senator and now we pay him to be a failure. I do not truly know if any man in history has ever been as big a failure as Obama. Strange, isn't it?

There is no benefit to ISLAM here in these UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Those who are now being indoctrinated through mosque attendance will be ones who will behead you. Where do they get the approval of building these buildings? Are there Muslims on the Planning & Zoning Boars? How about the City Council Board? How about the various other boards? The one thing Obama had going for him is that he is seen as being black He is half black and half white yet many people consider him to be black. Can you imagine the good he could have done for our country if he had a moral character and love in his heart. What a travesty to waste such a wonderful opportunity to bring both white and black people together as simply Americans. We can still pray and dream. Imagine if someone like Dr. Ben Carson were our president. I believe he would actually want to do many great things for America. For the moment evil prevails but with prayer and devotion perhaps God will have mercy on us and we can seek Him and turn to Him to heal our once great God fearing God respecting, God following country. Don't get me wrong since I am on your side in all this but I think that the day has come when home schooled kids won't do at all well on the SAT and other standardized tests that have been created to test kids that learned under Common Core. They won't do well at all unless someone teaches them the things that Common Core wants done and that would waste so much of the time of their lives.

Home schooled kids just won't do very good on those tests that have been prepared by the people who wrote the whole Common Core plan.

You may very well be right. I understand that even liberal democratic teachers were abhorred with common core. I doubt common core will stand . There are too many thinking people against us. Enough to make you weep, you say? As an old time teacher I have some real contact with present day teachers and the parents of the kids in school now.

Have you missed out on the fact that the new SAT tests were written up by the people who dreamed up Common Core and the tests will be based on Common Core curriculum? I hope you are right but people who have seen the tests don't seem to agree with you.

I believe that Common Core has already floated and there is little we can do about it till the failure is seen by enough people.

Now to get back to the benefits of Islam. I had to do some reading up on all that this morning after seeing some of the things on the site and, although, I saw nothing I wanted to agree with I could see too many things that fit progressive teaching and thinking.
