That is the problem with what you do, with what you read, you DEMONIZE me, and I don't agree at all with your rendition of what I said. Primarily because the intent that you attribute to me, was not what I said, so Yes I stand by the things I said, so now you can make your :Opinionated assumption of what I "REALLY" meant ( emphasis mine) when all you are doing is trying to incite anger, but you are not able to do so... I said: "regardless of the labels placed on us, and the left on this site does seem to be more virulent in their responses and name calling. You wont even let someone have a civil conversation with you." You are baiting me, and I am not biting. Try to just read what I said and don't run it through your filter that requires one side to be right and the other wrong. Like I said, if you are convinced that someone is racist, hateful, bigoted, and wrong you will look for the evidence to prove it, rather than discuss exactly what was said.

Lol, I gave you the benefit of the doubt. Your comments in the opening post, as clearly stated, were extremely one-sided. I asked if you wanted to revise those comments because taken at face value, as clearly stated in that post, you demonized the left and let the right be an oppressed minority suffering, along with people of color and gays, at the hands of the "devil." It is not a "rendition" of what you said: I used your words. Is it to be like Gingrich: "If you quote me, you're lying." A perfect example of the filter you try to assign to me.

I guess I was wrong about this site. I told a dear friend this morning that I had found a site where both major parties actually seemed to be talking and LISTENING. After reading the posts after I signed out last night I see i was wrong, and there is truly nothing new here. I am disappointed but will move on and continue my search. :( :( :(

One may try growing a thicker skin so to speak. I to have been criticized and been called names as have others on here. After all there is a natural progression here you state an idea or whatever and someone disagrees with your idea and states their idea. OK if we left it there it would be fine. But we as humans can't leave it there can we? We have to fight for our idea be it good or be it bad. After awhile we start calling people names, you are still an individual and you can choose to either coll people names or not your choice. I choose not to and will stop answering name callers and disregard their remarks. Does it do any good I don't know you would have to ask them. If someone else joins in on that forum that does not call names I will answer them and not the name caller. Hopefully after awhile maybe people will get the message.

I would like to think there could at least be an equal exchange of ideas. I have found, since becoming independent, that both sides want , basically, the same thing , or they are so close it can't be called. It's just that both sides express things in ways the other ASSUMES to understand...but don't,...and rather than ASK what was the meaning they just continue to ASSUME ( and you KNOW what THAT does!! ) they already know what the other person meant because they have preconceived ideas of what they are going to say and mean , and are not willing to LISTEN and FIND OUT if they are correct in their assumptions. As long as the Nation is so devided because of these silly, often really STUPID, preconceived notions, we will NEVER be able to have an exchange of ideas that actually get anything DONE. PLEASE!!!!! I am BEGGING you. Set aside the thinks you ALREADY KNOW about other parties and take the time to get to KNOW how they express themselves and what they REALLY mean when they say certain things. And if you DON"T KNOW what they mean, politely ASK them for an explanation. WHAT is SO HARD about doing that? We are all anonymous on here , so even if you were to meet the person you are talking / listening to;o tomorrow neither would KNOW the other . We MUST come together here or we will all be no more.

I think much of that comes from a desire to blame someone other than one's self for the troubles we face. Only through personal responsibility can things be made better. I think you've been much more civil than many. Good posts bro.

Yep. You demonstrate civility. Ve'hoe.

Rumitoid impresses me often, though we don't agree on much. He, also, can read a dictionary, and thereby has a "preconceived notion" of what words mean.

Why not instead of deriding your opponent, explain yourself? You must have a pretty good idea of where we're wrong, if ya ain't jes' as dumb as us.

You have missed the other posts between us,,,,, we have made peace,,, but yes I can get angry. I got angry because I was being derided,,, so I shot back... I am human too, but I also fixed it, and in the end like I was trying to do, I established some relation with the guy,,,,

I decided to stick around a while and just listen in. See how much I can learn anyway. I just wish we could all learn to be civil and not mistrust people so but I also guess there is plenty of reason , on ALL SIDES not to. I don't know how to change that because you cannot MAKE people have ethics, and you can't MAKE them be honest. :?:

I am of Cheyenne descent. I read these forums and all I hear out of the left is "teatard" "Conservatard" etc..... faux news, lies, stupid etc. This is a spurious and untrue. If all you read, then my comment on your reading and seeing is accurate. And taken at "face value."
Red Cloud said, speaking about the US Congress and Govt: "They made us many promises, more than I can remember, but they never kept but one; they promised to take our land, and they took it."
Now you all know what the Indian knows, and though you side with the govt against your black, brown, gay, or conservative neighbor, you cannot trust the devil you are dealing with to fight your brothers. I presume you are referring to the government. They in my opinion are merely people. They are not better or worse people. They are simply people. Our government is similar to our currency. As long as we view it in such a manner. Our currency is only worth what we think it is worth. Soon you will all be "Red Men" and you will KNOW the treachery and deceit of the "Political Leaders" you elected! Character and honesty matter,,,, While I do think this is true, I think on this our elected representatives, definitely are representative of us. and you are soon to find out your folly

It is your contention that using all weapons available to destroy your opponents is not good, as some weapons will destroy the wielder as well. Certain weapons, like our government should be off limits. Acknowledging the fact, I disagree.

It was this concept of a fair war that I cannot agree with. I don't believe it exists.

Do you still think I've twisted your words? Not taken them at face value?

Very good post and it truly is a shame what our politicians have done not only to the American Indian but also to us. It seems that we humans for the most part are a trusting lot and the politicians use it against each and every one of us. I have long respected the American Indian and personally feel sickened that our government did these things to them and they did them all out of one common thread and that is greed. Greed seems to be the one thread that runs through our government on every level.
