Welcome to this forum, Ve'hoe. As you can see, there are many "points of view" and "perspectives" espoused here. Not everyone is right and not everyone is wrong, just opinionated. However, one can learn a lot, both through the "links" provided and through the "research" that people on this forum provide.
I am of the opinion that Native Americans did get "screwed by the government" in many ways and I admire and respect the traditions and mores of your people. I also think that when other people came to this country, some of them gave much to Native Americans. Not everyone wanted to "steal" land as there was enough to "share" at the time. There is history that indicates that many Europeans tried to co-exist with them. As usual, when the government got involved, things went to "hell in a hand-basket". Your peoples' love of the earth and nature is legendary. Welcome again.

No, what you should "take" from the comments is that there is a leading class,,, you and I are not among them, and they don't like you, (even though they are using you) either. At this moment, the Leadership is decidedly left-wing, but trust me, brother, if they get the POWER they are after, they will turn on you. The Govt has always lied and cheated MY people, (but I am part white too). Ve'hoe is what you would call a white guy if you wanted to call him the equivalent of the N-word, cause my great grandmother married an irish guy. Indians had dirty politics too,,, A person can be smart,,, "People" in a group, usually are not and the tendency is to become a mob. We need to come together while the govt can still be controlled and strip some of the power from it. With every "point" you give to the govt like Homosexual rights, or Womens "Rights" or Healthcare Rights" the govt grabs more power, and yet none of those causes are really any better off!?! That is what we are PAYING for, we need to get our money back and do it ourselves, the govt isn't going to do anything for us, and hasn't that is, without a significant cost of freedom, Id rather have the freedom.

Snowbear, "We" got beat. If we had beat the white man there would be NONE of them left, that is how indian warfare went. At least we were allowed to live, but the real screwing was HOW. The reservations killed more Indians than the army ever did... The Govt lied and held our food and our money,, the lesson is now YOU are becoming the indian, left, right, hippie, gay, black whatever,,, and when they have you in that cage they cut the food off to kill you. I don't think they mean to kill you personally, but they conveniently forget to keep their promises...

Very beautiful perspective and very true. We the people are now the controlled and we the people will soon be put on the figurative reservations just like the Indians were. Our only hope is if we the people rise up and fight off the politicians in Washington and make them pay and pay dearly.

I think you only read what you wanted to read, only saw what you wanted to see. That you include "gay" and "conservative" in the same sentence and breath as observable skin colors. What is conservative, except a political affiliation? And what is gay, but a modern term for an activity formerly condemned and now practiced without shame?

You cant seem to take anything at face value, always looking for the twist, but some people say exactly what they mean,,, and KNOW exactly what they are talking about. Why don't you join us in that?

Right on Ve' Hoe. I will address one point your respondt make. Conservativeness is a political affiliation. It's much more that that; it's a mind set. It's movement is to make the government more responsive in serving the people rather than the government serving the people. The American government has become very oppressive. It has usurped states rights and it is trending to formulate a government of one state on people under the absolute power of Obama, or another liber. Conservatives want to stop that power grab in the Congress and the executive and judicial branches. Bring power back to the states and the people. That's what the framers of the country were trying to accomplish. Methheads like to tweek. They are always tweeking. And just like the Methheads the liberals have been tweeking the constitution a little at a time until it is completely obliterated. It's time to put a stop to the tweekers. Power to the states. Power to the people.
