This country is getting more bizarre with every hour this left-wing screwed-up administration is in power.

Carolyn - I think your post title is a little inflammatory. I completely understand that you might not have much exposure to transgendered people/people with gender dysphoria, and might find the topic alone very fearful. But the reality is that if an individual (of any age) is in transition and living/dressing/acting in alignment with their perceived gender identity then no law is going to prevent them from using any marked bathroom. If they are "passing" then no one will ever know.

I'm a women and I see nothing so bizarre about LGBTQ'S using the restrooms of their choice. Women have their own stalls and provide needed privatcy. Men gays and queens can choose to sit or stand. If society is ever going to move forward we all need to get a better mind set and put your fears aside.
If a person believes themselves to be female them it makes perfect sence to go to the LADIES ROOM.The weman dressed masculine would choose the men's. Don't make it a big deal. We are all humans with the need to pee and it's just a room to be out of the public's eyes. Grow up.

This crap sounds like a high school boys dream come true. Why do people in Houston take this crap? Have they become so brainwashed they have no fight?

If tomorrow I feel like a woman I can go into the ladies room, and the next day I can be in a man mood and go into the men's room. If a sexual predator can go into the woman's room dressed like a woman (most women wear pants and blouses, not dresses) put on a wig and go into the lady's rest room legally then women have the right to feel always threatened.. In most areas he would be committing a crime just doing so, but the women might have time to be on the alert. I would expect women to begin carrying mace or pepper spray, or if they have a concealed carry permit, to have a gun ready and waiting, just to accommodate a few people who are confused about which sex they are. With this law up until the time he grabbed her and raped her, she would have no warning, because "confused" people use the rest room. Everyone therefore becomes a threat, because it is now legal to disguise oneself. I know that it is also legal to change the sex indicated on the driver's license without changing anything about oneself. While I am aware that the push of the LGBTQ groups is to blur the boundaries, it is time for the 97% to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I'm an ordained minister with the Unity Church. What does it matter? I'm God person, who shares my Spiritual strength, and my doctrine ( as I understand it) with others without prejudice, bigotry, and forcing my views on others. MY GOD IS ALL INCLUSIVE, LOVING AND PROTECTIVE. I don't know who your God is, but don't make a assumptions of who I am when you don't know me.

Asked a simple question. Didn't make any assumptions. You are a little defensive. Just wondered if you were Lutherine, Presbyterian or what. No big deal.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) teamed up with Liberty Institute president Kelly Shackelford and the Houston pastors who were targeted by a recent subpoena that asked them to turn over sermons and other communications about homosexuality on Thursday to deliver a tough message to city officials.

During the press conference, which was held at Houston’s First Baptist Church, Cruz made it clear that he believes the subpoena is a blatant violation of the First Amendment.

“Caesar has no jurisdiction over the pulpit,” he proclaimed. “And when you subpoena one pastor, you subpoena every pastor.”

The senator also lambasted the subpoenas in a statement issued on the matter, calling the government act “shocking and shameful” and accusing officials of leading “an assault against religious liberty,” according to CBS News.

“The government has no business asking pastors to turn over their sermons. These subpoenas are a grotesque abuse of power, and the officials who approved them should be held accountable by the people,” Cruz said. “The mayor should be ashamed.”

As TheBlaze previously reported Thursday morning, officials in Houston, Texas, appear to be backing away from the sweeping subpoena seeking church communications and sermons from five faith leaders who are affiliated with activists opposed to the city’s controversial equal rights ordinance.

After demanding “all speeches, presentations, or sermons related to HERO, the Petition, Mayor Annise Parker, homosexuality, or gender identity prepared by, delivered by, revised by, or approved by you or in your possession,” Parker and city attorney David Feldman began striking a different tone Wednesday.

Parker went as far as to call the subpoena “overly broad,” with both the mayor and Feldman seemingly admitting that they believe the language is problematic, as the Houston Chronicle reported.

“There’s no question the wording was overly broad,” Parker said during a press conference Wednesday. “But I also think there was some deliberate misinterpretation on the other side.”

DEAR NPP, You sound paranoid. If a person was to dress as a women he won't wait for a law for Gays to come into effect. You're going to shoot anyone you suspect of being a threat just because their in the bathroom in a public place? Are you a nut?

If I were a woman I would be concerned, as the husband of one, I am very concerned. A man dressed like a woman, but with no hormone treatments or surgery walks into the woman's washroom, an observant woman will usually pick up the differences and be careful. If he can be there legally however, she might be less distrustful and therefore more at risk. I have no idea whether you are married, have children or grandchildren or a lesbian, nor do I care, but if there are women you care about, particularly young ones, you should be very concerned.
