Wages

Today, if minimum wage was $13 the economy would be great. Basic economics; when the masses have more money they can afford more things hence businesses make more money, tax revenues increase and welfare reduces. Why do big businesses want cheap labor? I am starting a "Buyer's Chapter" today. Demand USA made products and better wages for starters. Join today at: buyerschapter1@yahoo.com

You are forgetting about the inflation. When the masses have more money to spend, prices generally rise. After all, if your customers can pay more, why not make them pay more. In other words, since poor people generally have poor money management skills, they would be happy to waste away all their "surplus" cash on overpriced merchandise.

Yes, the masses would have more money, but the purchasing power of their money would be reduced. So in the end, the masses wouldn't be able to afford to buy more than they currently can. This goes for people who live paycheck to paycheck. They wouldn't be any better off than they currently are.

And on top of that, everyone who invests or saves would lose due to inflation.

So it wouldn't make things better for the poor, but at the same time would make things worse for middle class savers and upper-middle class investors.

That sounds like a good idea to you? Really?

You can demand rainbow and pink elephants for everybody, but that won't change fundamental economic laws.

I agree with everything stated here about how inflation would cause everything to be EXACTLY the same, except ONE thing. That One thing being (people's savings accounts). These accounts would be worth almost nothing. Or, nothing, literally. Look toward Zimbabwe, when they had their hyper-inflation problem. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperinflation_in_Zimbabwe)
So rasing the minimum wage is the WORST thing to do. And it is also the ONE thing that Obama and the rest of the NWO backers want to do. Rasing the minimum wage will only expedite the need for a NEW currency, a ONE WORLD currency. Then we will get our WELFARE STATE, and there will be no turning around from this point.

SO in SHORT. RAISE MINIMUM WAGE = WELFARE STATE. no questions. 100% Most people don't realize this, and will blindly say, 'yeah, raise the minimum. We need more money in this age.'. Make them wise to what they are REALLY saying, quick. Before it's too late. There is still a LITTLE bit of time. But just a LITTLE.

YES, but those BETTER WAGES need to be BETTER relative to the MINIMUM wage. Not better along with the minimum wage. That later scenario would be the SAME WAGE, just with a different number. Look toward Zimbabwe for proof.

Exactly. If I have to pay my employees more money, I have to increase my prices.

Ever own a business? I would say not. According to you all that would have to done then is print money until everybody is rich. Imagine how that would boost the economy. I'm sure there would be no inflation.

Last time minimum wage was raised....it cost my restaurant over $4000 dollars a month in payroll( for a small 50 seat business)...You have to raise everybody....not just the low level workers...guess what happens....you raise prices to try to cover the increased costs (customers end up paying for it)...the $4000.00 is over double the profit we may make in one month...this is not the way to raise the standard of living...the food industry is the second largest employer next to government jobs...these small business's don't have the money to raise the standard of living in this country....why not go after the business's, and large corps....posting record, after record, of profits...that's where the money is

if you paid some one 13 an hour I would not eat at any fast food place. they could go out of business before I would pay that much for their garbage. all of these places are starting points for minors to enter the work force , but as things are so bad economicly older people are taking these jobs to try and make ends meet. leave whats there alone and hope the government will get out of the way so businesses can start growing again. the government doesn't know what its doing it cant even pay its own bills how are they going to tell someone else how to run there live. the lake right next to where I live is mighty cold why not come by and jump in it you might wake up enough to realize what needs to be done.getting the government out of everyones business and private lives.

When wages go up so does the cost of living. Manufacturers, fast food companies and every other entity must raise their prices to compensate and the rise in wages is eaten away. Basic economics.

THAT is the whole idea (I'm talking from the Obama's side of this), lets make the DOLLAR worthless. Then we will initiate a 'one world currency'. And oh wow, we redistributed the wealth, so NOW the new currency, the (token) is worth the SAME everywhere. OK, now socialism. Everybody will get a 'cost of living allowance', regardless of employment status, with the ONE prerequisite. You MUST have the 'MARK', the implant. The one in your right hand or forehead.
