There is nothing to put aside. Mr. Obama is our elected leader and will be president until Jan. 20, 2017. I happen to think he is a better president than most.

If, however, I preferred someone else leading this nation, I would volunteer to campaign for a prospective candidate in 2015.

This non-stop carping from the right does nothing to advance the United States and makes the whiners look like the sore losers that they are.

The American people gave their opinion, in the only polls that count---the election of 2008 and 2012.

Hybrid capitalist-socialist models work in many many countries. Many nations have socialized transportation and medical systems. In Europe, people who support this blend are called Social Democrats.

In North America, we call people who support such a model---Canadians.

Can you, however, name any place on earth where unbridled, unregulated capitalism rules, with no labor laws, no public transit, and no govt. support of medical treatment?

I would be curious to see your list.

America has been the home of many successful socialized institutions for many years.

They go by the names of:

Public Libraries
Public schools
Public transit
National Parks
Medicare
Social Security

Whether you realize it or not you have benefited from socialized institutions that have been around since before you were born.

And no I can't this of another United States of America, we are unique...

And yes I did know several of our entities were socialised, there seems to be some problem with the school system now, my kids kids are dealing with them...
