CDC Warning: Immigrant Children Could Be Spreading This New Mystery Virus In Public Schools

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a warning yesterday about a mysterious polio-like virus that’s causing acute neurological illness and paralysis in children. The virus seems to be related to the nationwide epidemic of EV-D68 that we reported on during the first weeks of the outbreak.

The CDC is investigating nine cases of muscle weakness or paralysis in Colorado children to see if enterovirus 68 (EV-D68) might be the virus responsible for the neurological symptoms.

On Friday, The CDC issued a Health Advisory to doctors about the polio-like cases in Colorado, and said EV-D68 was detected in four of the eight sick children who were tested for the virus.

The CDC says the mysterious illness is characterized by “focal limb weakness and abnormalities of the spinal cord gray matter on MRI.” The cases, which are just now being made public, occurred between August 9 – September 17 among children aged 1-18 years old (with a median age of 10 years-old).

The nine children who have been confirmed to have this neurological illness all had fever and respiratory illness about two weeks before developing varying degrees of limb weakness. Health officials don’t think it’s polio because eight of the nine children are up to date on their polio vaccinations.

The CDC, in their health advisory, confirmed that they are looking into the possibility that the nationwide outbreak of EV-D68 is causing the polio-like illness. They are asking doctors around the country to be on the lookout for similar cases and to report any similar neurological illnesses to the CDC.

Although it’s received very little mainstream media coverage, the current outbreak of EV-D68 is common to El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua, three countries where a bulk of the illegal immigrant children come from. These unaccompanied illegal immigrant children have been allowed into the nation’s school systems without medical screenings and without required vaccinations.

The CDC may be pretending that they have no idea where this outbreak came from, but for months now similar neurological illness outbreaks have been occurring in border towns throughout the U.S.. In fact, back in February of 2014, an outbreak of a polio-like illness caused as many as 25 children in California to come down with paralyzed limbs and little hope of recovery.


According to the BBC, at least five of these cases were directly linked to enterovirus-68, proving the CDC has known about this outbreak for quite some time now.

In July of 2014, the Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that communicable diseases were being spread throughout detention centers set up to house incoming illegal immigrant children. These children were then being dumped in unsuspecting communities around the country.

“Many UAC and family units require treatment for communicable diseases, including respiratory illnesses, tuberculosis, chicken pox, and scabies,” the IG report said. “UAC and family unit illnesses and unfamiliarity with bathroom facilities resulted in unsanitary conditions and exposure to human waste in some holding facilities.”

Unless this government starts to control the crisis at the border, this is only the beginning. When you allow entire populations of people into a country without medical screenings, the results are actually quite predictable.

This isn’t a mystery; it’s well-known medical science. This is exactly why we once required medical screenings of all incoming immigrants, and why we built special islands in New York’s Harbor to quarantine incoming ships.

EV D68, enterovirus, that has been causing severe respiratory illness across the country is responsible for the death of a 4-year-old boy, according to New Jersey medical examiner. The death of Eli Waller was the result of enterovirus 68, Hamilton Township health officer Jeff Plunkett said, citing the medical examiner.

The virus has sickened more than 500 people in 43 states and Washington, D.C. — almost all of them children. (THINK ABOUT THAT SPREAD!!! 43 STATES AND WASHINGTON, D.C.) Earlier this week, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said four people infected with the virus had died but what role it played in the deaths was unclear. Some children are especially vulnerable to infection because of pre-existing conditions, though the medical examiner said that was NOT the case in the New Jersey death.

Border Patrol estimates, as reported by the Associated Press, show that more than 57,000 unaccompanied children have been apprehended since October. Most are from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. President Obama has proposed to spend $3.7 BILLION to address the issue, however, many fear the Administration isn't telling the public the full story and fear that minors are being relocated to agencies across the nation WITHOUT BEING PROPERLY PROCESSED.

For example, between 2009 and 2010 more than 3,500 cases of MUMPS were reported in New York City and surrounding area.

In 2010 California experienced an outbreak of WHOOPING COUGH LARGER THAN ANY OUTBREAK THERE SINCE 1947. Ten children died.
In the first half of 2012, Washington suffered 2,520 cases of WHOOPING COUGH, A 1,300% INCREASE from the previous year and the LARGEST OUTBREAK IN THE STATE SINCE 1942.

As of Aug. 29, about 600 cases of measles have occurred in the U.S. in 2014: the LARGEST OUTBREAK in 20 years—in a country that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention declared MEASLES-FREE in 2000.

There is a campaign in Pakistan to contain an uncontrolled outbreak of polio which hit an alarming point when the nation’s tally of new cases exceeded last year’s total of 93, with months to go, in the emergency effort to vaccinate children over fierce opposition from the Taliban. For the past two years, parents and health workers have been intimidated by Taliban leaders who banned vaccination under threat of death in retaliation for America’s drone strikes against militant leaders.

Why should this affect us? Twenty-eight individuals from Pakistan were apprehended while crossing the U.S. border this year, with another 211 individuals either turning themselves in or being caught at official ports of entry. (WHERE ARE THEY NOW?)

Individuals from terrorist nations are called SIAs, Special Interest Aliens and many are known to be in the United States. The Terrorist nations represented by those apprehended crossing our southern border include Afghanistan, Yemen, SOMALIA, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, and PAKISTAN.

The terrorist border threat is coming into greater light as a result of documents being obtained by WSB News 2 of Atlanta. They report that among the terrorists known to be inside the United States are three hundred members of the Somali terror organization al-Shabab. That group was the perpetrator of the Kenyan mall massacre. While the 300 SIAs are known for a fact to be somewhere in the U.S., THEIR SPECIFIC LOCATION IS NOT KNOWN.

And, Oh, BTW - Ebola: We're told Ebola can only be spread through the bodily fluids of people showing signs of the disease. The chances of an Ebola outbreak in the United States are "extremely low," Obama said. U.S. are working with officials in Africa "to increase screening at airports so that someone with the virus doesn't get on a plane for the United States."

And then this: Thomas Eric Duncan, the Ebola victim in Dallas, answered “no” to questions about whether he had cared for an Ebola patient or touched the body of someone who had died in an area affected by Ebola. Duncan had days earlier helped carry to a taxi a pregnant woman who later died of Ebola. Her illness at the time was believed to be pregnancy-related. At the time Duncan left, it’s not clear if he knew of the woman’s diagnosis. And so he might actually be a good samaritan - but just unaware of the woman's critical situation. Duncan told a triage nurse when he first came to the hospital that he had recently returned from Liberia, a fact supported by the woman who accompanied him to the hospital. Officials at Texas Presbyterian blame the setup of their electronic medical records system for not conveying this information to the treating physicians.

And so, it goes on. From this incident alone, it is easy to realize how this terrible disease can spread - inadvertently, and via carelessness - from patient, to nurses, to doctors, to their families and friends. HOW DO YOU STOP IT?

As the Ebola crisis has grown in West Africa, the need to stop its spread has grown ever more urgent. The number of cases is now over 20,000, and the CDC estimates that by January, Liberia and Sierra Leone will have 1.4 million people with Ebola infections. These are frightening numbers. CDC Director Frieden revealed that in the month of September, screening at airports in African countries has turned away 77 people who had signs of possible Ebola infection, including 17 in the month of September. Although Frieden used this example to illustrate the effectiveness of CDC’s screening program, it also shows that SICK PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO BOARD PLANES TO THE U.S. As the outbreak grows, it will grow increasingly difficult to keep all Ebola-infected passengers—who don’t show signs of infection for several days—off those planes.

British Airways is suspending all of its flights between London and Liberia and Sierra Leone until December 31. BRITISH AIRWAYS followed the lead of EMIRATES, which became the first major international airline to cancel flights, and AFRICAN carriers Arik and ASKY. AIR FRANCE suspended its flights to and from Sierra Leone, and the French government has urged French nationals to leave Sierra Leone.

But the U.S. suspend flights? NAH? We'll all be just fine. Obama said so!!! And what the heck, if they can't get here by air, there's always our our southern border, RIGHT?

Much as this post is needed and we all need to be very concerned, it has some misinformation..

First, see lots about this on my local news cast. Back in August or even July heard about the Colorado kids with paralysis.. Now in 43 states, the strain is related closely to the common cold and most of the time is simply a "cold"... These severe cases are a mystery and not much can be done for treatment.. They are still monitoring those original cases as far as how long the paralysis may last..

This is an airborne disease and as the common cold, no cure or prevention has yet been found..

I feel this is a greater worry then Ebola.. Far more extensive and more easily spread..

Also the strain has been around forever, had to be separated from the common cold virus before it was ided..

May or may not be from the boarder kids... Not a huge lie, but a very real problem...

First we need a leader. I been asking that question. My opinion we don't have time to debate a leaders qualifications. We have to pick the one that has war military know how and that we can trust.
I nominate Allan West. How's that. We need to draft him now. Don't waste a lot of time debating and reasoning among ourselves. We don't have time for that.
Whoever we choose do it quickly.
He needs to rise up and lead. Now we gonna find out who really loves freedom. It's.not about our country anymore per say, it's about freedom.
I understand about.militias been formed recently. They only want vets.
That won't work because there is strength in number. They can't do it without us. I don't have the modern military training. I am a Stan Waite type of fighter. used during the civil war by Indians. Not what we need.
So we have to just keep trying to rally the troops.
My hope is that we don't spend to much time rallying the troops and loose our freedom by default. We have to take what we have and go with it now.
Others will join in when they see it happening. This is what Bainer and McCain fear the most. The rally to fight.
