This push from the homophobic right is a beautiful mill weight hung around the neck of any republican who takes the bait. On good days for our country the republican party is like a self cleaning oven.

Trust me, the vast majority of us do NOT want them associated in any with the gay community. We struggle enough as it is. No need to ask your question.

Btkfr: We can make room for the gay community in our prisons as well...or we can let the muslim hoards in and let them take their toll?

I expected you to have the same response as I would, I would have expected nothing less. In this case I know they were convicted of enough charges to keep them in prison for ever, but I do not know if they are still alive so far

wellwellwell ol' "all flap and no throttle" jr speaks up for what it's worth. As usual not worth much now is it. I'm very certain you would like the first option, but alas, ain't gonna happen there Ace. The second might be tricky even for you as you might be beheaded as an infidel, no? Sticky wicket for you indeed. Or perhaps if you could just flap your arms as well as you flap your gums you could just fly away? See ya round the drome there Ace :XD:

Thanks for sharing that news as I wondered. Forever might be a better fate than the second option but likely in time it will end up the second. On our local news just last week 3 back to back news stories of separate instances heterosexual child abuse against little girls. I hope the same fate for them.

I vote no to all. I have learned to mind my own business and do not obsess on what other people do in private.

I am not familiar with "fore taking", did you perhaps mean "partaking"?

"Most societies throughout history, even the wealthiest and mightiest, have eventually collapsed and died. Why
Why don't they just continue to evolve and flourish as their knowledge and technology grow? What allows some cultures to continually bloom, and others to wither?
This question-normally one of mere historical and academic concern-is increasingly relevant to to millions of Americans as they behold their beloved nation struggling in the grip of unprecedented financial, political, cultural and moral conflict. Indeed, many are warning that American is not immune to the forces and influences that have caused other great empires to self destruct.
In particular, traditional-minded voices point to America's rapid growth of homosexuality- not only in its prevalence, but in its virtual celebration-as eerily reminiscent of Sodom and Gomorrah, the ancient cities whose destruction due to rampant immorality is described in the Old Testament of the Bible.
From the time of this nation's founding all the way up until the current era, mainstream Americans held the Bible to be their ultimate guidebook, and the "Judeo-Christian values" it espoused as their highest principles.
Today, however, especially throughout the elite realms of academia, science, government and the news and entertainment media- the Bible on longer retains the stature and universal credibility it once did. In its place we listen to sociologists, scientists and other "experts"
Sex and Culture
Perhaps the definitive work on the rise and fall of civilizations was published in 1934 by Oxford anthropologist .D. Unwin. In "sex and culture" Unwin studied 86 human civilizations ranging from the tiny South Seas island principalities to mighty Rome. He found a society's destiny is linked inseparably to the limits it imposes on sexual expression and that those sexual constraints correlate directly to its theological sophistication and religious commitment.
Unwin noted that the most primitive societies had only rudimentary spiritual beliefs and virtually no restrictions on sexual expression, whereas societies with more sophisticated theologies placed higher restrictions on sexual expression and achieved greater social development.
In particular cultures that adopt what Unwin dubbed "absolute monogamy" proved to be the most vigorous, economically productive, artistically creative, scientifically innovative and geographically expansive societies on earth.
Absolute monogamy is a very strict moral code. Under absolute monogamy, sex can occur only within one man-one woman marriage' Premarital and extramarital sex are not tolerated, and divorce is prohibited.
Understandably, the only societies that practice absolute monogamy are the ones that take their religion very seriously Whether monotheistic or polytheistic, they believe devoutly in God or gods, and they order their society according to divine moral laws.
Unwin's contemporary Arnold Toynbee, was much more explicit bout the centrality of religion in history Toynbee's masterpiece, his 12 volume "study of history" charted the rise and fall of 26 civilizations. In Toynbee's view "the course of human history consists of a series of encounters...in which each man, woman or child... is challenged by God to make the free choice between God's will and refusing to do it."
Why exactly does absolute monogamy bring vitality to a society? According to anthropologist Margaret Mead the central problem of every society is the appropriate roles for men. Monogamous societies require men to choose either lifelong celibacy or responsibilities of a family, fidelity, bread winning and fatherhood" these are stablising choices.
Heyak in his Why Nations Fail said the two main forces toward decline were collectivist governments and unstable family and community groups. (primary article by Brian Fitzpatrick November 2010)

So when you state that what people do in their personal lives is none of your business, think again. It most assuredly does in significant ways that you are not even aware of.
