No matter how much I loath the Muslim, I feel great pity for them, also. They serve an awful god, whose demands are strict and terrible. How can anyone observe their plight without feeling pity?

We're supposed to feel pity for something they do to themselves? That would be like taking pity on a Democrat.

I think we should pity them anyway.

It's like someone that smokes 40 years and gets lung cancer. It may be their fault, but we can still pity them.

The Somali community is almost exclusively orphans and widows, political refugees. While the protest may seem improper in asserting possession of food donations, is there no viability in their concerns?

I live in MN, just wait until the UN drops 200,000 Syrian refugees in your back yard.

I have many middle eastern, and asian muslim friends, to the very last one of them they dispise the Somalians. Because they are nothing but a bunch of welfare handout give us more steaming piles of pig dodo. They give nothing back to the muslim communities only take.

I have great respect for the philosophies of certain religious affiliations like Hebrews and Mormons who ensure that all in the community have an opportunity to better themselves.

Somolian's do not have that type of mindset.

Just wait for it, Sharia law is coming to a neighborhood near you. It is NOT compatible to a society that is based on equal rights and freedom.

I think I mentioned loathing Islam? And within a 75 mile radius of where I live there are approximately 35,000 Somali political refugees. They work in the meat packing plants, including the pork plants. They've driven the Hispanics out of that particular line of work.

I am aware of the vicious, barbarism of the Somalis. That is one reasons I pity them. Rape, murder, assault, mutilation are everyday occurrences within their 'society'. Their religion is destructive. Their lives are horrifying.

Syrians are not Somalis. Syria is in the Middle East. Somalia is just south of Ethiopia. You've heard of Somali pirates? That is one of their national contributions to the world, piracy on the high seas. Human trafficking is another. Shall I continue?

Your other point:

"Notice anything?"

Presumed by others to refer to obesity among people who beg for food. These others also appear to believe the poor are fat because they are gluttonous.

My point is, it is doubtful most who have rendered an opinion here know how much THEY spend, or is spent for them, for daily food, on average.

Well you got me there. Our chef has a budget, he and his helpers do the shopping. I approve the transfer of money into the household fund and our house manager ensures the bills for running the house are paid. My accountant goes over the bills and keeps records. Therefore, you are right, I do not know how much our food costs per item.

However, I do volunteer work at a food kitchen and I see what people prefer to load up on, and carry away in their bags. It is not the vegetables, fruits, it is not soy products, or even meat and fish. It is the deserts, potato chips, soda, coffee, and bread. Is it any wonder that they carry around a "few" extra pounds.

BTW, you made a comment earlier about Daniel. He was not a refugee, he was a captive.

And I think that all food kitchens should be heavily stocked with pigs, in fact, change the name to the Hog Trough, open to Muslims. Hang one outside of the kitchen, and put a bit into each dish that is prepared. Perhaps then those that complain will find a job or leave. Preference, they leave!!! They are nothing short of sleeper cells and when time is right, they will kill even those that have fed and clothed them.

Why Aren't Islamic Charities Seeing To Their Needs
Why Are Non-Citizens Making Demands Of Americans
It Is Not Our Privilege To Fawn Over Their Needs
Answer That Question

Plenty Of Money To Get Them Here From E.Africa. From An Already Muslim Country

A Previous Poster Already Points Out Public Food Pantries
Do Not See To Religious Dietary Needs Of Others
Why Is It Our Responsibility To Answer To Their Demands

No one should demand a certain type of food if they are getting it free. I do not care what religion or ethnic back ground they are. We should never have let these people into our country because they have not means of support, just like the south American children and adults that have invaded our country. These people will never meld into our society.

Good comment! I was in the process of developing a very similar reply, but yours covers it very well. Most poor people are poor because of pure laziness, not because some corporation made a few million dollars.

I would venture that you and your family, like many people with a good work ethic, will never be "poor", .... no matter how bad things get.

Most so-called poor people in the USA today are on government welfare because they were taught to be "poor" and dependent on government hand-outs by their parents and an enabling leftist government wanting them to remain slave/voters of the left.

That's one ignorant-ass comment. Do you know most poor people? Why don't you ask the full-time laborers and service providers making poverty wages and going to school in hopes of a better oppurtunity why they're so lazy? What is wrong with you that you would buy in to such b.s.? What, you saw a fat woman buying candy and ice cream with her food stamps? I'm siick and tired of this blaming-the-poor crap. Like any other group of people, there's good and bad. This propaganda is infecting people and distracting them from looking at real power and the damage those who wield it have done. It's so much easier to scapegoat the weak and powerless. Bunch of goddamn bullies.

Speaking Of Ignorant-Assed Comments,

What Does That Have To Do With Providing Unreasonable A la Carte
At Public Food Shelves
Especially For Non-Citizens

Why Can't They Look To Their Follow Muslim Charities

Everyone sees things from their own perspective. Is it possible that your lifestyle and how or when and conditions you were raised is different?? I see this issue from my religion which I admit makes me less willing to care for and coddle Muslims. Could be that they only desire not only my death but everyone that will not convert to their point of view. I also see things from being down on my luck and knowing that I could have asked for a handout from either relatives or government, but did not and came out the other side much stronger. I came into my inheritance in my 40s, but before that I was a government employee and prior to that I was enlisted in the Air Force. Truly, unless you are in the top 3 percent of the government or an officer in the military you have to scrape to get by. My husband and I had two children, we also fostered children that needed understanding and love, we also adopted. It was not easy. And I will tell you this, we fed our children first, then I made sure that my husband ate and if there was something left, okay. It also helped that I have always been a vegan, there is always left over vegetables.

Now you called me selfish when I say I do not pity those on welfare, well I am speaking from the point of view that anyone, regardless of who they are, where they came from, without regard to color or religion can, if they are willing to work, sacrifice, and keep their eye on the gold ring do not need welfare as a source of living. Each person, go ahead ask around, has been down on their luck. The difference is what they do to pull themselves out of the situation. A hand up is totally different from encouraging people to remain burdens. And when I see people that are beggars demanding that "their" food pantry be stocked with food that meets their individual taste. I say, first it is not their food pantry. They did nothing to rent the building, store the food, pay the utilities, or donations. They go there and pick up food free of charge. They are beggars! Nothing to pity, they have no pride, and they are simply taking away from those needing a hand up as a temporary measure.
