That makes good sense. In many positions, highly skilled, and reliable employees are very important. This pertains to mostly highly skilled workers. Not everybody has a degree in IT, or mechinacal engineering. Even the highly skilled and well paid jobs are being done away with. I know that many corporations are going overseas is search of skilled people in the computer field. Many workers with decades of experiance are being replaced with kids right out of college.Try finding a well paying job when you are fifty years old.

saltwind. I can see you know very little about business. From my experience having owned and run some large businesses I benefitted more from good employees. The delivery driver who went out of his way to make my customers happy. The warehousemen who made sure orders were correct and undamaged. They were well worth paying the extra money I paid them.

I have no problem with American cars. This is not the 1970s . The best I ever owned was a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. 200,000 trouble free miles. I never even changed the belts. Just tires , oil changes and a battery and I sold it for a decent price in 2013
That goes for "probably" all corporations. I have worked for GM, [1964, thru 1969 ].....[ Management, & hourly, so saw, both sides of the Union], then 1986, thru 2006, worked for AT&T. "Both" fortune 500 companies, started out "caring" about their employees, & ended up, [with the world trade agreement, & pressure from stock holders], not caring a "whit" about employees, "or" retirees! American "consumers" greed, about the same as Corporate/Union greed, but on a different scale! Ever notice how much merchandise, both food, & hard goods, at Walmart, [ & many others], come from China? Amercans, "don't" like losing to China......"BUT"......."THEY" all want to get he "best deal"! [ SOOOOO many Asian cars on the road!].[ I drive one, cause GM "quality" re: Buick, quality, is a rare thing!
Good point . Everybody changes jobs for a higher paying one or a job with more opportunity. The days when employees stayed with one job for their career is long gone.

89 Town Car with the 5.0 engine. Great engine. I had the same in a 1987 Cougar XR7. Some NYC Limo's went 500,000 miles on that engine

Say Dennis. When I got up this morning
I turned on the TV, and there was a story about another major Corp moving it’s headquarters out of country to avoid paying it’s Tax’s. ( Corp Tax ) I believe it was Burger King.
I like you, was a business owner.
Retired now. And have seen both sides of this story. And I can tell you from first hand experience, I don’t blame them one dam bit.

Oh they are still going to remain in this country. And as this report said, will still pay the state and local tax’s. But no longer will they have to pay A 35% Corp tax. This one, we can lay right at the feet of this OBAMANATION that infects our White House, courtesy of the socialistic imbeciles that make up most of the democratic party.
I, am not sure, just how much money this country has lost because of the inability of this fool to understand the workings of business and its financial structure. But one thing is abundantly clear. He needs to take a course in basic business 101. It would count in the billions just for the past two years or so.
We have the highest corporation tax of the industrialized nations around the globe. And I understand he wants to raise it up to 38%.

Tax the rich, tax the rich. That’s all I hear out of the socialists.
Two points that become abundantly clear.
1.) If you keep taking from the so called rich, soon they will have nothing. Then your screwed.
2.) I don’t know of any poor or middle income person, that is paying money to meet payroll for anyone in a business setting.

Well thank you so much for saying that Bruce.
No longer do I have to spend 12,14,16
hour days working. Or the many weeks on end, I spent at the job 7 days a week,
making sure my employees got paid instead of me. No more do have to worry about the health of those very same employees, or there families. No more do I have to wonder and plan for, what new and inventive ways the EPA, or OSHA, or the DOTP, city planers, the water regulation board, county, state, or federal
Agencies will put in the way of business, just so I can pay those very same employees. How very nice of you to say that.
I do suspect you don’t have a clue just what the hell I'm talking about.
So please enlighten me as to what part of taking some ones money from them they did not earn, is in anyway right?

And have you your self, ever met a payroll out of your own pocket?

Or gone for weeks on end not being able to see your children’s accomplishments at school, because you had to make sure your employees were able to?

This is just a small part of what’s needed to make a capitalist country work. That is the backbone of our economy. Capitalism by individuals in this country is what made this the best country in the world. I have never seen anyone that sat on there butts in this country, add one thing to its well being.

Tax the rich all I want is for the Rich to pay the same as me. Stop your foolishness the tax rate at 39% tell me one person in this GD country that pays 39% . Corporate tax there are so many tax loopholes, corporate welfare, and subsidies tell me one major corporation in this country that pays 10%.

Ask Mitt a Romney other than 2012 if he ever paid more than 5%

Ask all those corporation that send 50% of there profits out of this country to avoid taxes and it's legal. Give me a break.

Yeah, my bad. I forgot someone held a gun to your head and made you do it. I simply did not realize the strain you were under. And of course, YOU are the ONLY one who has ever gone through such an ordeal, or is it you're the only one who's bitching about it? I'm guessing those military men and women, who died in battle, had it easier than you did. Why don't you write a book on all the suffering you've endured, here in the U.S. But, lest we forget , Obama wasn't President when you sacrificed your "entire" life for those ungrateful bastard employees, of yours. You know I'm not ashamed that I spent my career in the military. So no, I didn't have a small or large business, so I didn't have to "make payroll", out of my pocket or anyone else's pocket.
