Me too!! Reminds me of a huge Tom I used to have when I lived in the city. My father would come to visit, bringing his two favorite hunting dogs. Normally fearing nothing, they started refusing to go in the kitchen to munch from their bowls, because Mr. Tom would hide behind the door, just waiting for one of them, he didn't care which one, to cross the sill, and as soon as the poor thing did, a sharp razored claw would reach out and smack the victim in their tender nose. My father wasn't fond of cats, but Mr. Tom won his grudging admiration with his sneaky attacks.
I was sure that my wife took him to the vets to have him put down, but my God there he is in the mailbox!

Maybe the cat had just read an email telling him he had money coming from Nigeria, and he was waiting to get it so he could buy toys and food and maybe even a new friend, like a canary perhaps.
