alex yes but usually when we say Congress or Congressman we mean the House of Representatives.

Lol....I'm not expressing my point very well...don't you see...even if the economy was doing better, they would never give Obama credit...never !
They would give the credit to the republican house or the soon to be most likely the republican senate..when the economy tanked under GWB...most conservatives don't blame him...do they ?

I point more to the specifics. Like Newt dragging Clinton to a balanced budget which is well documented or Clintons assault on Microsoft which initiated the Tech Crash. But overall Clinton kept his hands off things enough to allow the economy to boom. I applaud his moderation on economics
As far as the fiscal crash of 2008 we had Bush with Pelosi and Reid and there is enough blame to go around as we detailed in a previous exchange.

Yes our government will lie to you and tell you everything is just fine. Unfortunately too many people will believe their lies and go on as if nothing is wrong! They will believe that the economy is good and that we have a bright future. Even when the true economic data states otherwise! People will believe anything it seems! Just as P.T. Barnum said, There is a sucker born every minute! This is why there is so much gloom and doom out there! It's from those that are paying attention to what our government is doing to us! Both parties are selling us down the river to the highest bidders!
