There are no rational arguements for it. I bet the republic will survive without it, just as it has for the last for the last 200 plus years!!

For the first 200 or so years, people were more honest. They respected the value of a true outcome in elections. Do you REALLY think a majority of Americans voted for barackhussein? REALLY?? Even the first time? Certainly NOT the second. Voter fraud had to be massive!

A post on another thread that is worth sharing. This from a newcomer and a young person but showing a good deal of wisdom.
---------------------------------------------------------
I am so sorry that I have to leave this OPP, as I now will be moving after college! I can NOT believe you "so-called older folks" with all that "EXPERIENCE" that you seem to boast about! Tell me, oh "learned" folks what exactly have YOU LEARNED!! You spend COUNTLESS hours insulting one another BUT the important thing is "what have you ACHIEVED???" If you would spend as much time solving problems or attempting to problem solve instead of taunting one another, maybe we would have a better outcome! I have learned a lot!! --- What NOT to do! I will try to look at everyone's ideas. Maybe they are not mine but that doesn't mean they don't have some validity! I found that I fell into the same trap! It is like a world wind that draws you in!!! I joined in the insults!!! and for that I apologize! STOP CUSSING OUT EACH OTHER!! All you are doing is increasing vitriol and division which are our country's greatest threats! Many of you I assume, are retired. What are you doing with your time. How about getting other seniors together and hashing out the problems --- then bombard your congressmen and senators with your ideas! I wish you all 'Good luck and God Bless!'

Carolyn, Instead of telling me that my thinking is flawed, tell me how. I don't think it is. As a social liberal, my concern is with the little guy. The guy that works forty hours a week plus, whose real wages have not gone up in a couple of decades and whose pension has disappeared, along with other benefits. All this at a time when stock prices are at an all time high as are compensation packages for senior officers of corporations. Instead of using that big Texas mouth, enlighten me as to the conservative remedy. I hope its not let the rich get richer while the poor gets poorer. This is the current policy, and it ain't working too well!

No, I don't believe "libs" ever claimed any of those things. Why the "lies"? I know I've never claimed any of those things. So, are you saying, if I've never claimed any of those things, I'm not a "Liberal'? You're high. But you do what I've always said "Cons" do, they tell others what they think and how they think. And reality tells any sane person, that no human can read another human's mind. Yet, from listening to "Cons", like TweedleDennisDee here, you'd think they are all mind readers. TweedleDennisDee why don't you tell us specifically which "libs"..." claim the Border Ain't Broken and Freddie and Fannie Mae were fine. And the VA was well run...". Or do you claim that "ALL" "libs" claim these things?

By now haven't you learned not to question me? I don't post bullshit and can always document my claims. How many times must you challenge me and lose? When will smarten up? When I say liberals I don't mean meaningless peons I mean the Leadership on the left. Elected officials.

As a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee, Waters played a key role in allowing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s reckless actions that led to the housing meltdown. Here is Waters, at a 2004 congressional hearing, (and yes, that is the same “Frank” Raines that vastly overstated Fannie Mae’s earnings in order to receive $90 million in bonuses). “We do not have a crisis at Freddie Mac, and particularly Fannie Mae, under the outstanding leadership of Frank Raines.”

Liberals differ on issues. There is no "party line" like there is in the tea party. I don't agree with any politician on every issue including Obama. I do have the same concerns as the liberals and that is the growing gap between rich and poor. I don't want an America where the workers are poorly paid in both wages and benifits, and the wealthy continue to see their compensation plans increase. I want an America where every qualified student can afford to go to college, and every worker can afford a home and get a pension plan and health insurance. Is that too much to ask for?

I agree with some of your concerns but THESE are the people you elected who represent your party. I agree that college costs are insane and I was thrilled when Obama said he would take over the student loan program which will save Billions and Billions. What happened in reality? My kids student loan interest WENT UP 1% . A typical professor works 15 hours and has tenure. Even gets paid extra for Winter Break classes and Summer classes. Why won't Obama go after colleges? Because most are controlled by the left and professors are protected by unions. So sit silently while our children are abused with debt and overcharges from colleges.

Not sure how to answer your " Party Line" comment since the Tea Party is not an actual political party. Most are Republicans who don't TOW the party line.

This liberal obsession with how much money someone else has is becoming a little embarrassing. You should applaud another's success and not be jealous of it. Many people in other countries would love to have what our poor have. But let's just call a spade a spade here. When you complain about this "income inequality," the very next sentence (which goes unsaid) is "we must redistribute the wealth." Right? Please explain to me if I am wrong on that. And isn't wealth redistribution just another word for Socialism? Stand up and admit that this is what you want. Tell me why income inequality is such a terrible problem and what you think we should do about it.

The decline of the middle class is fact but the causes are not due to the rich getting richer. We have lost our manufacturing base which fueled the middle class post WW2. That's the problem we need to solve. Everytime I see an OBAMA-BIDEN sticker on the back of a Toyota Prius or Subaru I want to puke. I even saw a Subaru with a " SAVE GM" bumper sticker on it once.

You post Bullshit because the majority of your sources are from biased Conservative rags, that have a definite agenda to serve. However, I'm not questioning your sources, this time, I'm questioning your words. You say...

"The libs also claim the Border Ain't Broken and Freddie and Fannie Mae were fine. And the VA was well run

You libs are either naïve or stupid
"

...I'm not disputing that some Democrats or "libs" didn't state what you claim, what I am disputing is that "ALL" "libs" agree or back those claims. I am an everyday citizen, I have the luxury to watch and see how the issues, of the day, unfold. I will reserve judgment until I'm satisfied the issue is resolved. So when you make a claim that..."You libs are either naïve or stupid, it's fairly clear, to me, that you are referring to "ALL" "libs". And as usual you back my theory that "Cons" tell others what they think and how they think. So hopefully you'll begin to see how truly ignorant you look, when you make ignorant statements like that.

Now if you had an ounce of intelligence, you could have worded your statement something like this...

"There are some "libs", even some in Congress, that claim the border isn't broken and that the GSEs, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, were just fine. And that VA was well run. Do any of you "libs", on this forum, agree with those views" Because if you do you're either naïve or just plain stupid".

That would have been one intelligent approach to making your point and still be able to call "libs" naïve and stupid. And you wouldn't look so ignorant, yourself.
