Thanks, Aunti and Ranger, I always feel uplifted when I know someone likes my prayer. I read the Psalm and write according to how it moves me.

You do beautiful prayers. I believe God speaks through you, about what we should be praying and thinking about.

My prayer for:

PSALM 22

Heavenly Father, Dear Jesus send me wisdom through the Holy Spirit that I may write words pleasing to You. Forgive me my sins, and lift my heart and spirit to the blessings of this day. I come to offer up prayer and praise to You, in the name of my blessed Savior.

Dear Lord, if we feel You do not hear us, let us examine ourselves for sin, known or unknown. Let us examine how we bring our prayer to You, and for what reason. Let us always be grateful that You hear us. Let us know, that Your answer is for our best interest, and let us be appreciative even when it may not please us.

Jesus cried to You from the cross, and though it must have tore at Your heart, and brought a flood of pain upon Your Spirit - You turned Your back allowing Him to die, and to descend into hell. A shroud of misery was cast upon the beauty of heaven. There was no singing in heaven, just wailing and tears.

On the third day Jesus arose from the dead. All rejoicing and praise broke loose in heaven. The angels once again picked up their harps, their voices rang forth with sounds of jubilation so magnificent no man can even imagine how enchanting were the sounds that filled the halls of heaven. Jesus has succeeded, He has saved mankind from their sins.

Now let us come to Jesus with praises upon our lips, and gratitude that God allowed His death. Have a sense of deep humility, for we cannot possibly imagine the excruciating pain He suffered for us. Let us never shirk away from speaking His name for fear it may offend someone. If we can rejoice, imagine the ecstasy in heaven, and let it lift our heart.

When the day comes alive, even before the sun rises, pray to the Lord and thank Him for the day. As we walk through our day, think of Him and speak of Him when the opportunity arises. Nothing is too small or too great to bring before Him. Such simple things, helping us find a parking spot, pleases Him. And, the big things that concern us, are of His concern also, always include Him.

O Lord, accept my simple prayer, know that my heart wants to please You. See all of us through this day, and put a smile on our lips. My prayer I offer You, Lord, in the name of Jesus, giving You all honor, praise, and glory. Amen.

I like the idea of your using plural. When we read your prayer, it is a plurality doing the reading, though not necessarily at the same time.

Saint Michael the archangel,
be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil,
May God rebuke him,

Satan and all evil spirits,

Amen

We ask this in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

They say that praying in song is a powerful prayer. Well, here is one of my favorite Church songs that I want to share with all of you. This song, I believe will help us in the months that follow. Let us sing this song in our hearts.

To all the saints that have writen prayers or who have prayed for our salvation from the evils of this world, I dedicate this song to them, before the alter of Our Lord, Amen.

--- Verse 1 ---
Blessed are they who are poor in spirit, Theirs is the king-dom of God.
Bless us, O Lord, make us poor in spirit, Bless us, O Lord, our God.
We are the light of the world, may our light shine before all,
That they may see the good that we do, and give glo-ry to God.
--- Verse 2 ---
Blessed are they who are meek and humble, they will in-her-it the earth.
Bless us, O Lord, make us meek and humble; Bless us, O Lord, our God.
We are the light of the world, may our light shine before all,
That they may see the good that we do, and give glo-ry to God.
--- Verse 3 ---
Blessed are they who will mourn in sorrow, they will be com-fort-ed.
Bless us, O Lord, when we share their sorrow; Bless us, O Lord, our God.
We are the light of the world, may our light shine before all,
That they may see the good that we do, and give glo-ry to God.
--- Verse 4 ---
Bless those who hunger and thirst for justice, They will be sat-is-fied.
Bless us, O Lord, hear our cry for justice; Bless us, O Lord, our God.
We are the light of the world, may our light shine before all,
That they may see the good that we do, and give glo-ry to God.
--- Verse 5 ---
Blessed are they who show oth-ers mercy, they will know mer-cy too.
Bless us, O Lord, hear our cry for mercy; Bless us, O Lord, our God.
We are the light of the world, may our light shine before all,
That they may see the good that we do, and give glo-ry to God.
--- Verse 6 ---
Blessed are hearts that are clean and holy, they will be-hold-- the Lord.
Bless us, O Lord, make us pure and holy; Bless us, O Lord, our God.
We are the light of the world, may our light shine before all,
That they may see the good that we do, and give glo-ry to God.
--- Verse 7 ---
Blessed are they who bring peace a-mong us, they are the child-ren of God.
Bless us, O Lord, may your peace be with us; Bless us, O Lord, our God.
We are the light of the world, may our light shine before all,
That they may see the good that we do, and give glo-ry to God.
--- Verse 8 ---
Bless those who suf-fer from per-se-cu-tion, theirs is the king-dom of God.
Bless us, O Lord, when they per - se - cute us; Bless us, O Lord, our God.
We are the light of the world, may our light shine before all,
That they may see the good that we do, and give glo-ry to God

Good morning all,
"In the Name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit....Amen"

Dear Lord Jesus may your blessings come upon us as we pray the Ancient Prayers of David, King of Israel and your servant.

A Psalm of David.
The Lord the Shepherd of His People
A Psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
[/b]
Psalm 23:1-6 NKJV[/b]

For those of us who are sentimental

Psalm 23 King James Version (KJV)
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Psalm 23:1-6

Indeed the Lord is my Shepherd, for I shall not want,
For Lord God, thank you for keeping me safe against my enemies, keep America, and Israel as safe as you kept me.
I am American, My Lord, O great Shepherd and I request that thou, look favorable on my fellow Americans as a great evil is coming to befall us.

For we sheep know You and You know us, as you did not come for the saved and righteous but for us Sinners, therefore I ask you Lord, through your Son, Jesus Christ, to Guide us in the paths of righteousness, and protect us from this great evil.

I know you test your faithful, as gold is tested in fire, and the challenges of this generation, have discouraged many of those who once followed you. So, I ask in Your Name to show your great power, for the purpose of reuniting the believers and making the free, free and the righteous just. We ask this in the Name of Jesus, Amen.
In the Name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit....Amen"

What prayer can one possibly offer that says more than the words of the 23rd Psalm? Forgive my feeble attempt, the words come from my heart, hopefully, to just heap more praise on Him.

Prayer for
PSALM 23

Our Lord God, Precious Savior Jesus, how we need Thee, we ask that the Spirit impart understanding of Your Words that will open our eyes, and calm all fears.

We walk in a twilight, not knowing what lies ahead, but trusting in Your faithful guidance. With great care, You lead us to safe havens of rest. Here, we may appreciate the scenic hillside with its lush green grass. We observe the serenity of a babbling brook.

Our soul senses a tranquility that lifts it out of our earthly state, and we fold into the earth in an ethereal way of oneness. A renewed energy flows through our veins, we feel so alert, so aware, so alive to our surroundings.

Though there are dark valleys, in our life, we will continue to trust. We know You are our keeper who carves out a safe passageway for our future. You will bring us through the flickering twilight into the sunshine. Always, we will offer our praise for Your focused, protective care.

You tend to our sustenance, we are not in want but are abundantly provided for. Our pantry is open to share. We will fulfill our days according to our assignment in Your will, and one day be with You forever.

We must include our hopes and prayers for the safety of all who follow You, O Lord. We look to You, for Your everlasting protection of Your Beloved Israel, and ask that You extend Your hand over America.

These words are offered to You Lord, in humble reverence, in the name of our Savior Jesus. Amen.

Thank you for this hymn, Ranger. Once, a pastor said that hymns are mini -sermons, and I must agree. Above, I kept the verses that touched me most, though the entire hymn was beautiful.

Beautiful. I can only add my agreenent with a hardy Amen. Lord Jesus,my friend is currently in the e.r. and is facing his own mortality. I humbly ask as he walks in the valley of the shadow of death, that you comfort him.
Lord,he has been a faithful servant of yours. Please send your angels to his bedside. That he might be comforted in this time that comes to all of us. If it is not his time,please let him live and spend his final days in praise of you lord,Jesus.
I ask that you give me the faith to carry on when he is gone. I know that we all must face death. Please help me be strong in my convictions and praise you in all things. I ask this in your holy name Amen.

A beautiful and heartfelt petition CB. I have prayed with you and, will do it again just to ensure I am heard. God is never far from any of us and, in times of need, He is holding our hand. I feel His presence everyday and, I know He has never left us or forsaken us. He can not lie.
