The reason the battle flag has been considered the Confederate Flag is due to Virginia Confederate soldiers carrying it as opposed to the designated Confederate flag.

You are absolutely correct AuntiE as I have pointed out before. I Still fly the "Stars and Bars" on Confederate holidays. I also just switched to the Texas State Flag last week from the "Alamo Flag" after San Jacinto Day. My Dad's battleflag (he had in his dorm at A&M in 1948)is on the wall of the Man Cave. above the Flatscreen.

Correct The National ensign of the CSA is known as the "Stars and Bars". Gen Lee's battle flag of the ANV is the one mistakenly taken as the official flag.
