I had countless 'uncles growing up. My father left when I was two and my mother did what she had to do to feed 5 kids. If you took that to mean that I'm angry and bitter you read it completely wrong. There isn't anything in my upbringing that I'm ashamed of. My mother raised us on two jobs paying minimum wage. The string of men, including one governor, was a mark against men, not a mark against my mother. Nothing about her or my life made me angry or bitter. Don't read what you are and project it unto me.
