The time I tried maybe 40 years ago was in the backseat of a car and I guess I didn't get enough of it to be affected. At my age I don't need to experiment with another vice. Alcohol, caffeine, and food are my addictions. Suddenly throwing up after getting drunk in my mid twenties kept me from following my family tradition of becoming an alcoholic. Now in moderation.
At fifty I had to switch to decafe coffee because my heart tended to race and I wanted to murder those around me who needed it. Food is the one addiction I have yet to conquer. I was the fat child in a litter of starving skeletons growing up. I think I ate one of the weak ones for a snack one day. Puberty slimmed me down. In my late twenties a co worker got me into running 10 k races. I ran 25 miles per week and could eat like a horse and have a beach body.
At 33 my body fell apart and I gradually had to stop running. 45 years and 45 lbs later my gastro doctor said, " you really need to do something. Your liver is too fat. " So now I am on a high protein powdered shake and pudding diet. It's a whole lot of fun going out to eat with friends and family watching everyone else stuff themselves, whilst I eat the microscopic side salad.
The diet, really a starvation diet, does work if you don't cheat too much. Now, if you want to talk gadgets, the fancy electronic scale that comes with the package, talks to my smart phone. It measures lbs, hydration, and % of body fat. It all goes to a nutritionist, who twice per month tells you if you were naughty or nice. So far I haven't been yelled out.

Are you ingesting Trump? You're statement makes no sense unless of course "you are allowing what other people say affect the quality of your being"!
Hilarious, where do you keep coming up with this sh!t?

Too bad you have to depend on a substance to help you deal with reality. Have you tried rehab/counsling/12 Step program?
Have you tried buying a different, better personality?

Leftist Loony, what did President Trump ever do to you personally that makes you hate him so much? He did a lot to help me. He worked on Veterans benefits, lowered taxes on the middle and lower class taxpayers, kept fuel and food costs down and was working on closing the border. The people that hate him the most are politicians on the take, paedophiles and human/child traffickers because he was going after all of them. Which category are you in???
He's a phuckking criminal, just to name one!!!

If you want to trust the government to sell you what THEY want you to buy and put in your body, good luck…Big Pharma is waiting for people like you.
There are many, many things that can make you addicted…and big Pharma knows what they are.
18-20% in tax money is very attractive to the government…
..
EmilyD, these dispensaries are not big pharma. They are, in Rhode Island, locally owned and the state regulates the purity of the product. Big pharma probably doesn't like these dispensaries because it cuts into their profits. From what I hear, the 20% tax is waived for veterans and medical patients with prescriptions from Doctors.

I think that I have a legitimate question for you on this subject. The government, mostly Liberals, have been on an anti tobacco shtick for 50-60 years give or take a decade. Now these same anti tobacco Nazis are wholeheartedly pushing Pot use.
I have tried pot and tobacco in my life, but never actively used either. I don't know so I am asking. Wouldn't pot be as bad or worse for the heart and lungs ? Wouldn't smoking any drug be bad for the lungs ?
Heard it was as bad, or even worse, especially vaping. I smoked for about 20 years, but wasn’t one that inhaled it much. I quit 30 years ago, thank God, quit cold turkey. I tried the patch, didn’t work for me. I prayed, and asked the Lord to take away the desire for nicotine, and I am happy to say, it went immediately, never have had the urge again. I think God knew I wanted to quit, but didn’t have the strength to do it, so he did it for me. I am forever grateful to him. My brothers all smoked, and all had emphysema, and bronchitis, constantly having to go to the doctor. It is a nasty habit. Never smoked pot, or did any drugs, not a drinker. I am a Christian, believe in Jesus Christ, he is my Savior, and soon, he is going to have Gabriel blow that trumpet, and I am going home, Halleujah!

Leftist Loony Toons, maybe it's you who needs to buy a better personality. If you do, try to find one without the TDS and communist spin.
