We seem to have a preponderance of conservatives on this site who seem to be pulling for the defeat of Ukraine. I'm no fan of Volodymyr Zelenskyy President of Ukraine, but I'm sure as hell not a fan of Putin. He's a bad guy. Always has been. I'm not for whatever foreign policy this idiot administration is doing. Saying the word don't and the saying as long as it takes, just doesn't cut it. I'm not for an endless supply of aid to Ukraine either. Especially without an Inspector General overseeing such aid. However; I am pulling for Ukraine, and a strong American leadership would already have both sides sitting at a negotiating table.
Ukraine will never be a threat to the U.S.. Russia is an adversary.

What XXX said. Wishy washy leadership is the problem. Biden gave Russia the green light to cross the Ukraine border. Biden should not have voiced weak comments before the invasion nor should Biden have slow rolled the response afterward. He guaranteed a loss before it ever began.

Having said that, My opinion as a constitutional conservative is that Biden made a commitment on our behalf. Integrity and international image require us to follow through on that promises. Biden is a horrible mistake that we will be paying for for a very long time.

Can't really disagree with anything you said. Biden's a terrible leader. The Russians advertised for months what they were going to do. Huge build up on the border of Ukraine of troops and weaponry. As usal our intelligence either got it wrong or was ignored. A strong show of support early on might have stopped the invasion before it started. Gee, it's almost like the biden administration wants this war.

I wouldn't say Biden gave Putin the green light. Putin doesn't take orders from him. he barely listens to the very weak whatever. My 50 years will be up in Sept. Then this is no longer my problem. Putin likes to spread or create chaos, hid bottom line. Do I like him? His ideas yes. Trust him. no. Zelensky dared Putin to come in to what is really Russian territory (you'll have to do some research to understand that). By killing over 1400 Ukranians, Zelensky guaranteed a loss for himself, but the Pentagon, Dems, and Congress won't let the corpse rot in peace.

President Biden actually invited Russia to take a “minor” excursion into the Ukraine. Sounds like a green light to me.

When the war is over the Ukraine will still exist as a nation... Minus the ethnic Russian territories it treat so deplorably...
Funding a corrupt government so it can continue to feed innocent lives to the grande is not in anyone's best interests (excepting certain groups who are growing rich over the conflict).
Peace is achievable today... It merely requires compromise...

Ok - are you denying that this war was instigated by globalists? Are you denying what happened in Ukraine in 2014? Are you saying this country should go deeper in debt than it already is? Do you think Russia should have no buffer zone between it and NATO?

I'm saying Putin illegally invaded a sovereign country. This war has been allowed and fueled by the global elites. The war began 12 April 2014, when a fifty-man commando unit headed by Russian citizen Igor Girkin seized Sloviansk in Donetsk oblast. The Ukrainian military launched an operation against them. It continued until it was subsumed by the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Did you read what I wrote or don't you understand? Why does Russia need a buffer between itself and NATO? NATO is purely defensive. should we have a buffer between us and Mexico? Come to think of it. Probably.

I'm pulling for the U.S., not the homo one, the one we grew up in where mom would be in the den, and dad would just be getting home from work. This new guy, a Kenyan porch monkey would cost him his next vacation, so he'll grumble through dinner. I don't see Russia as an adversary or a friend, they just are.

Yes Russia is an adversary. Ukraine Needs to be supported as an ally and maybe even a future member of NATO.
