They do, just go to a dispensery and you'll be able to find many different smells, THC levels and prices.
I'd definitely stay away from anything on the street tho. It's a crap shoot these days.
Dispensaries control the amount of THC in pot. Medical marijuana is mostly for pain and anxiety, which is mostly from CBD (Cannabidiol) products, and they are low in THC and high in CBD. Doctors don't prescribe medial marijuana to people who just want to use it to get high.
Making pot legal is for money, and money only. It's not about making people healthier. If you smoke it, it still is bad for your lungs - just as bad as smoking cigarettes, and maybe worse....they're just beginning to study the harmful effects of smoking it. There is a lot of resin in pot, which some say does more damage to your lungs than nicotine cigarettes do. You supposedly can eat it, but I believe the government regulates the amount of THC that they can put in those, too.
In my opinion, they've legalized it way too soon. They need to do more research regarding the side effects and health effects of this drug. But they won't because the money is GOOD! (a few buds - of a plant that is just a WEED (!!) - cost $50-$60 - which would last most people about one or two "sessions" of getting high, and the taxes on it are a LOT!! (21% in Virginia, 20% in Montana, etc.)
The government may make 'safer' marijuana, but it's not what you think it's going to be - and it is expensive if you're planning on using it regularly! And buying it on the street (places that are not licensed as dispensaries), as always, is taking a chance on getting laced and potentially lethal stuff. This is NOT the same pot of the 60's and 70's!
You do you....whatever. But telling people to "just go to a dispensary and you'll be able to find what's right for you" isn't the best advice, imo. My advice is: Do something else in life that makes you actually happy, and not the fake "happy" that drugs give you.

More & more evidence accumulates that MJ is not the benign substance its devotees maintain. It induces & worsens schizophrenia and has caused bilateral above-the knee amputations. I agree with decriminalization but not with legalization. The difference is that legalization makes it a money source for government just like with alcohol when Prohibition was eliminated. I don't want government having any more money which means more power.
Its anticipated benefits have also not been great as expected.

I wanted to add something to my previous reply. I'd never heard about amputations due from smoking. I looked it up and found some articles. One was about a guy who had an ulcer on his toe and let it go. I don't think diabetes was mentioned just the fact he smoked, let the ulcer go and that contributed the amputations. No other medical history of this patient.
I'm not saying that it doesn't happen or people can't get very adverse reactions to marijuana. But if you listen to the possible side effects some of the medication ads on TV, I'd rather take a chance on what I've got than take the "cure"
My mother benefited from pot when she was going thru chemotherapy. It helped her nausea
