Democrat and Republican Party Voters are Indoctrinated so badly that they have lost their Ability and Courage to think on their own. A simple matter of the mental disease called Stockholm Syndrome. They love their captors above all else.
It is decades and generations of this political captivity by the two most corrupt organizations in America as depicted in the periodic Election Results, that is the driving force.
There are alternatives in both Parties, and among the other Political Parties. But, Party Voters refuse to see and vote for the Alternatives. They must vote for the Swamp Dwellers ad nauseum. That makes them habitually predictable for their Masters.
