I'm a lefty who watches Fox News on occasion out of curiosity. I've watched Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly. If you believe those guys that explains why you are so misinformed. When I was growing up we got our news from the local paper and our information from the likes of Walter Cronkite, Chet Huntley and David Brinkley. We were divided on how to approach things such as taxes, social programs, military interventions, and emotions could run high. We bitterly disagreed on Vietnam, for example. The difference is that we all based our arguments on the same facts. There was one set of facts. Rush Limbaugh was the first to spew hatred and misinformation. Remember the "Homeless update" where he made fun of the homeless with the Frogman Henry song? Rush is the one who divided this nation and Fox News came along with their version of "facts" while spewing hatred against the liberals. Right wing media invented misinformation, division and hatred in this nation, at least in my lifetime. The left and the right disagree. Those of us on the left are as patriotic as any of you on the right. To say otherwise is childish and ignorant. I like to read the opinions on One Political Plaza, as I like to read opinions from both sides. However name calling and hate filled rants seem to be more prevalent than ideas or opinions. That's a shame, as we can do better.

Maybe you should learn some history of who has controlled the media and who has shaped the narrative since 1947.
It's not the "Right wing media" who invented mis or disinformation.

I, personally, only like Sean History out of those three. But, Tucker was fired from Fox quite awhile ago. I can see why after that "interview". Even Putin said it was weak. He was expecting hard questions.

I also miss those types of reporters. They actually reported the facts, unbiasedly, and let the viewer to decide.

I was on the tail end of the BB so I wasn't old enough to really know a thing about Vietnam. I currently know Alot more about it now since My Old Hippie Dude is a Vietnam Vet.

I admit I listened to him once and found him a tad overbearing. Besides, I preferred some AC/DC, Def Leppard, Eagles, Phil Collins, etc etc.

Fox is one of fastest growing ratings. They have Democrats analysts and show what is actually happening. Are they right wing? More than left, yes. Remember all the MSNBC hosts horrified that a Trump campaign manager (?) join the station as a consultant? I don't think that's very unbiased.
I notice the tone of voice, body language and questions on the MSM. They are tense ,sometimes even angry and hard on every republican, but very relaxed and chit-chatty with democrats.

I have to quit there. There was more but my eyes can't stay open.
Goodnight

I posted Hannity for Tuesday. It was excellent.. Wish you would watch it. 'Out to lunch' brainwashed yahoos, like TYKMO won't watch it b/c they are too afraid of the truth. They can't refute strong reality, the smartest guy (and gals) refute the absurdity of this trial. For example, judge and DA both donating to DNC, and NO recusal? No attending his son's graduation. Gag order? If they throw him in jail for any period of time, LANDSLIDE I predict. The American electorate...sick and tired of this bullshit. Watch Hannity if you get a chance. Dems won't watch...they might get swayed!

It seems that the news programs you refer to back in the 70's and 80's have given way to opinion programs on both sides of the spectrum. I have tuned into MSNBC and CNN occasionally as well and see programs like Joy Reid and Joe in the AM and Rachel Maddow and others and I can't believe what I am seeing. Fox is the same way on the right. Bret Baier provides a more unbiased news program which I consider to be more like the older ones you refer to. As I see it, there are many reasons for the departure from true news shows to the opinion shows. I believe much of it is due to the way Colleges have moved to the left in their philosophy toward education. God has been left out more and more in the education of our youth and it seems it is not so much just a ho-hum view like take Him or leave Him but more of an antagonism or even a war to exclude any mention of Him from life, often on the basis of the excuse of freedom of religion which has really turned into freedom from religion, unless it is muslim or another weird belief. We are paying the price for this movement and it isn't going to be cheap. Not all of the movement toward Godlessness is confined to the news media, most of it is reflected in the way the general population has responded to the changes in education standards and efforts. I believe the belief is that it is good to go that way instead of towards what the traditional Christian teachings have been over the years. If one likes what he sees in the world today, that is undoubtedly the way he will go. Personally, I don't like it.

How many supporters would Biden lose if he was to be seen bowing his head in prayer with let's say a well-respected man of the cloth?

I think Biden is often guilty of putting his finger in the air (usually the middle one) to see which way the political winds are blowing.

My wife and I were talking tonight about the state of this country and how deplorable it has become and while we generally agree for once she agreed with just about every word I said. The division in this country is 100% due to right-wing media whether it's on the radio or watching cable TV and if not for what is said in those cesspools we would be a similar nation as we were before the advent of the Rush Limbaughs, Fox News, and those who have worked so hard in copying them.

I remember the 60's, the 70's, and even into the 80's and there wasn't the hardened hate that conservatives had for liberals as you do now. But talk to Blade Runner and he thinks liberals are the greatest evil this country has ever produced and I am willing to believe that if asked, everyone of MAGA would agree with him. Hate that ground-in doesn't happen all by itself. It's preached and reinforced by every venue that it experiences. And the fact that most of you are Christians and you hold that much hate for so many of your neighbors and it should abhor you...but it doesn't.

Now if you are going to say that my experience, or the average experience of a Democrat is the same you are wrong! This is really going to shock you but the average Democrat gets their news from one of the Big Three or PBS and there is never an angry word said about Trump or anyone in the Republican party. Why do I say that, because the FAA, which is the same under Republicans as it is under Democrats would smash them like a little bug if they did demean or denigrate anyone? And I know you are going to jump up and down screaming Donald Trump tell you nearly blow your little brains out but telling the truth about someone isn't demeaning or denigrating someone.

This is why I'm pointing my finger at Right-Wing media as the great divider in this nation. If one of the big three was complicit in spreading the lies of a political candidate like Trump has done to the point that they were able to incite an insurrection well would fine their little asses as they've never been fined before. And now if you are going to say that that wasn't an insurrection then what was Donald Trump trying to accomplish by lying about the election? What was his purpose if not to overturn the election? He tried every legal means and failed, even with his own judges, why didn't he do as Gore did and simply concede?

That's it. So let the hate fest begin since I know that the only thing you can do, as a Christian Conservative, is to demean and denigrate those who don't think exactly like you... let's have it and get on with it!!!

No hate filled rants, just a couple of observations.
First, the MSM media has Way more left leaning news outlets than the right does. In fact I'm not sure there IS a Republican show on MSM. I don't think there's a Democrat show on Fox either tho they have the left on regularly and are treated fairly. I haven't seen that on Meet the Press for quite awhile or Morning Joe, Rachel Maddow among others and they are constantly berating Republicans. They couldn't even handle the thought of a Republican consultant on the network. They could have actually had some decent conversations about us righties. Instead they ranted and raved and the network caved and she was let go after someone interviewed her because she HAD to. Chuck Todd even told the interviewer that the network should apologize to her for making her interview "that person." Not very unbiased.

I watched MSM until I started noticing the totally different ways they treated Democrats from Republicans. I've found that Fox is a tad fairer in the way they treat other parties they talk to. I love Harold Ford Jr. (I'd vote for him) and Jessica Tarlov (who just had her baby). They have very interesting viewpoints.
I don't watch Fox only. I watch alot of different networks. I do try to get different viewpoints. I also hope I'm smart enough to be able to know when I'm being misled. I screw up alot, but I try
