She's trying to get people to post on HER topics. She brags about being "ranked high" on Opp, thinking it means she is popular. What she doesn't realize is that all it means is that she gets a lot of "hits" (posted comments) on her topics - and the more hits she gets, the higher her "ranking" goes. And the reason she gets a lot of hits on her topics is that she is deliberately obnoxious, arrogant, condescending and a pathological liar - all things that generate responses from people who are insulted or outraged at her posts.

The only way to rid someone like her from a forum is to ignore her collectively....which isn't going to happen here.

Here a brief synopsis about the Crusades.
My questions: When did the Crusade start and why? What actually did the Crusades do to save Christianity from the Muslims conquest worldwide? If you claim to be a Catholic, you must have known the answers.

Let me briefly digest just some of the significant rules of the Crusades. These are only partial of the activities of the Crusades.

There are so many more because the Crusades started in 1096 to 1204.

Essentially, the Crusades saved Western Europe from conquest by Islam which would have brought Western Civilization to an end. In as much as Western Civilization brought us the Renaissance, the Scientific Revolution, and the Age of Exploration, without Western Civilization, world history would have been altered in a way that is unimaginable.

There were 4 significant Crusades and few other minor ones.

The 4 significant ones.

The 1st Crusade.
The First Crusade (1095–1099), was called for by Pope Urban II in 1095 to aid the Byzantine Empire who had recently lost land to the Turkish Muslims.

Also, during the creation of Islam by Mahammad, the purpose of which is about Jihad. To fight and conquer. Armies were sent to Jerusalem, and took over the land, including destruction of the Holy Sepulcher Church. Muslims killed the Christians, raped women and enslaved them.

Jerusalem was taken back by the Crusades, and the Muslims conquered it twice. The Crusades took back Jerusalem, until today.

Though Christians in current Jerusalem was fast declining in numbers, and all of the ME. Muslims are killing them, and the leave few to be their slaves. And that is happening at present in all parts of the ME.

The second Crusade 1147-1149
This crusade was the first crusade to be led by European kings, namely Louis VII of France and Conrad III of Germany. However, the crusade leaders had disagreements. The crusade ended ultimately with a Muslim win, further division within the Christian states and eventually the fall of Jerusalem.
I think this is the second fall of Jerusalem.

The 3rd Crusade:
The Third Crusade started in 1189 and was concluded in 1192.
The Third Crusade (1189-1192 CE) was launched to retake Jerusalem after its fall to the Muslim leader Saladin in 1187 CE.

The Crusade was led by three European monarchs, hence its other name of 'the Kings' Crusade'. The three leaders were: Frederick I Barbarossa, King of Germany and Holy Roman Emperor. Thus, Jerusalem was regained.

The Fourth Crusade (1202–1204)
It was a Western European armed expedition originally intended to conquer Muslim-controlled Jerusalem by means of an invasion through Egypt. Instead, a sequence of events culminated in the Crusaders sacking the city of Constantinople, the capital of the Christian-controlled Byzantine Empire.

The Fourth Crusade failed because most of the crusaders who participated never reached Jerusalem or the Holy Land, the original goal of the crusade. Instead, the crusaders sacked Constantinople in 1204 and decided not to move forward to the Holy Land.

Why did the Fourth Crusade fail? Soldiers from Venice, France, and the Holy Roman Empire fought against the armies of the Byzantine Empire and the kingdoms of Hungary and Constantinople.

How was the Byzantine Empire different from the Roman Empire? The Byzantine is located in the East, situated in Turkey. While the Roman Empire is located in the West in Europe.

The Christian empire of Constantine the great. After his death, 337 AD, the Christian empire in the Eastern, called the Byzantine slowly fell to the Turks.

Byzantine Empire, the eastern half of the Roman Empire, which survived for a thousand years after the western half had crumbled into various feudal kingdoms and which finally fell to Ottoman Turkish in 1453.

There were the most beautiful architectures left by the Byzantine Christians, their churches and beautiful buildings now all owned by the Turks.

How did the Crusades save and impact Christianity in Europe.

Fact, the opposite was true. Crusades saved Christians being raped and killed by Muslims. Crusades was launched to save the Christians being killed, raped, and abused by Muslims.

The Crusade was defensive wars against the Muslims. Without the Crusades, Muslims could have taken the entire world.
