Scheme to Eliminate Electoral College 76 Percent Complete
Last week, the state legislature of Maine became the 17th in the nation to pass a bill that will effectively eliminate the Electoral College.
Unbeknownst to most people, there is a serious effort in this country to make the presidential election a simple popular vote. And even though most people have never heard about this effort, it’s actually already 76 percent complete—meaning that the Electoral College is truly at risk of getting completely scrapped in the near future.
This effort is officially called the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. And what it basically is, is an agreement between the states that join to give their electoral votes to whichever candidate wins the popular vote at the national level. This movement will be blown out of the water by the SCOTUS. It takes an Amendment to the Constitution to accomplish such a scheme!!!

Actually this is a clean workaround, the states run the elections and can already determine how electoral votes are allotted. An interstate agreement would be entirely within our constitution.

You only care about the Constitution when you think it can be worked into something you support.

Yes it does require an amendment to change. Those take time...possibly years for approval by the required number of states.

The cultural Marxist Democrats have been extremely successful in both showing and exploiting the weaknesses in our Constitution.

SCOTUS is not involved in amending the constitution. An amendment is really not needed. All the would be required would be an agreement to award the electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote by the swing states. If SCOTUS didn't like it that would be a shame but it would be meaningless.
Right wingers may be delusional but they're not totally stupid. They know that with their main objectives being disapproved by 60, 70 and 80% of the country that they can't possibly win anything in an open election.
Two out of the last three republican presidents did not win the popular vote but still took office and did near irreparable damage to everything. Thanks to Joe Biden and his knowledge of government and legislation not to mention negotiation, we have just about returned to normal after the debacle of the Fat incompetent Loser.

You were good for a minute, then went full on bat shit crazy. Opposed by 60% of the country? That would be Biden on the economy, the border, and foreign affairs.

Biden has no ‘negotiation’ skills, instead he works to appease our known enemies like Iran by making it possible for them to fund terrorism. Don’t tell me those funds belonged to them. Biden unfroze their frozen funds which gave their nations the ability to use those funds to support terrorism like the HAMAS terrorists and those who voted to put Hamas in power.
Also his and Hunters ‘friends’ in power in the Ukraine too. It’s cost taxpayers multi-millions of their hard earned money. Pelosi and Biden pledged the funds to the Ukrainian beggar for as long as their war with the Russia lasts. He protects their border but refuses to protect our own. The US has pretty much been funding the Ukrainian war with Russia and it’s not even our war.
