JFlorio, You must be either blind, deaf and dumb to have written this post. We certainly do have to worry about Trump violating our constitutional rights. He has said as much on many different occasions. I will be dictator for a day, is one example. Have you ever heard of a dictator giving up power after a day?
Being a world power, we have interests all over the world. Are we going to let Iran, Russia, and China violate those interests? There is much wisdom in the old saying that the best way to avoid war is to prepare for it. If we learned anything from World War Two, it is not to appease aggressive dictatorships. If The UK, and France would have taken a strong stance against Hitler taking over the Rhineland, Czechoslovakia, and Austria, there never would have been a World War Two. If we allow Putin and the other aggressive dictatorships to have whatever they want, we almost certainly guarantee World War Three.
Trump is too incompetent to stop undocumented workers from entering the country. Whatever happened to that wall he promised to build? Why did he tell the Republican House to go back on the agreement reached with the Democrats, which was the toughest policy in immigration ever?

I'm just going to say a couple things since you weren't talking to me about this.

As far as the dictator comment, the Democrats said he was going to be one in 2016. Didn't happen then nor will it happen now. The Hitler comparison is really boring these days.

The bill they want for the border doesn't do anything for border safety. Most of whom would be hired is going to be for processing not keeping illegals out. Why did the left not even bring up HR2 and just let it sit on Schumers desk? The House passed it. Doesn't the left want bipartisanship or is it just their stuff you have to agree with to be a good lil soldier.
There's more but I just said a couple.

KL, you are too smart to be so naive. There is a BIG difference between the Demos trying to score political points by saying that tfg will be a dictator and the man himself promising to be one. The former we can discount as campaign rhetoric; the latter is a promise all too likely to be fulfilled.

You are a typical simple minded Leftist who is so lost I expect you walk backwards. You are a prime example of someone groomed by the DNC State Controlled Marxist Media Propaganda Bureau's and who get a daily full measure of their catnip.

Pub. All I know is what I see, feel and experience. I get the dictator part. I also saw the entire interview. I can't tell you with 100% certainty he wouldn't stop on day one but I'm sure the left is trying to keep all power they possibly can.

I tend to believe him about the just day one. I also think he used "dictator" since that was what that segment was about, but just one sentence out of an hour or so of an interview doesn't seem quite fair. I try not to do that, but fail at times.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet and a dictatorial act by any other name is still the act of a dictator. FJB has issued hundreds of Presidential orders and memorandum since becoming President, none of which he termed dictatorial but, as the unilateral actions of the executive, were in fact dictatorial. Trump intends to continue this nefarious Presidential behavior but don't get your panties too much up in a bunch b/c, as Trump found out in his first term and FJB is finding out now, many of those actions will never see fulfillment due to judicial action.

I reread the whole thread and I agreed to a comment regarding the administration. I'm sorry, I wasn't more elaborate on the "ordinary" folks. I should ask you, ordinary folks in the White House or just ordinary on the street folk.
In the WH, I imagine it depends on who they are working with/for on what happens to them. I imagine quite a few will stay around especially if they're good at their jobs. Some may be let go if there are cutbacks. Some may leave because they hate Trump. Then you probably will get a very few that they would be let go because of party. But that is waaay down the list.

Hit the go button too soon.

On the street folks, perhaps close the border, start the wall again, inflation under control, prices coming down, calming down the ME to name just a couple of things....But that would require Democrats to read stuff instead of just voting no because it's Trump. He would need cooperation and not having to fight for every inch.

If you believe what you wrote I feel very sorry for you. It is obvious that you didn’t read the, as you put it “the toughest policy in immigration ever”. There was nothing in the bill that would have prevented what Biden is doing. It did not close the border. It in fact left everything up to the President. So with Biden nothing would have changed. It did have a handout to all of the illegals here all ready and I believe blanket amnesty

Unfortunately Executive Orders by all presidents are done too often and too easily in my opinion. Trump was president for four years. He did nothing dictatorial. So far that’s been Biden and his happy band of cultists. Biden, like a dictator, is illegally forgiving billions in college loans on the backs of taxpayers. He is directly defying the highest court in the land. Just like a dictator. He is ignoring immigration law. Just like a dictator. He is illegally flying in immigrants from other countries. Just like a dictator.

They're called the swamp. They're unelected bureaucrats and they possess too much entrenched power. They need to be removed and barred from government service. They're mostly cultural Marxist Democrats just like you who falsely believe they're patriots.

Really? Trump said he would "drain the swamp". He had four years to do that and they're still there?
