👍 That said... The Christian thing to do would be to ask him in for a meal and teach him how to grow his own food.
Problem is, too many people in cities can't do that. 🥺

The point of the moral of teaching someone to grow their own food is to make them self sufficient, so that they will eventually not need your help. In cities providing short term shelter, some occupational training and an entry level job to break the cycle of poverty is the exact same moral.

In the past I was financially and otherwise involved in such urban endeavors. All charities should be trying to put themselves out of business by trying to make sure those they are helping become self sufficient.

I could easily explain how what you consider a rich person could have no income.
Bill Gates has done it.

A "rich" person can own land, property, that provides zero income, but is worth millions.
Buy a huge plot of land, pay the county taxes on it, and let it sit.
It's worth millions for grazing, developing, or recreational activities that could be made.
Live simply from saved money, and sit on your millions. You're a "rich" person with no income.
Cool your jets, and think outside the rhetoric you are being spoon fed.
I could easily explain how what you consider a ric... (show quote)

How do you pay your bills with "land"? Or buy airline tickets, or go to restaurants, or buy your grandkids gifts? How's that work, Archie? Hmm?

Land is not income unless you sell or rent it.

Your answer is simply ludicrous.

One non sequitur after another. Get real Mr. Dumass. A lot of idiotic assumptions on your part that don't dignify a response. I love it when you trolls are willing to expose your ignorance for the whole world to see.

Yeah, I post factual, empirical data on world tax rates and the numbers of our citizens in favor of taxing the ultra rich - and you call that kind of stuff non sequiturs "idiotic assumptions", and ignorance.

You sound exactly like Donald Trump.

Ummm.....saved money that generates little to no income. Be it cash stuffed into a mattress, a low yield savings account, or selling eggs to your neighbors.
Lots of ways if you think about it.
We were having a semi agreeable conversation, a minute ago, but you just blew it with your condescending, know it all, sparky reply.
Suck my exhaust pipe, and have a good evening.

And every time he "saved money", he got it from somewhere, somehow - by selling stuff or robbing liquor stores, he generated INCOME. That he now has stuffed in his mattress or in a low interest account.

Sayin you can be rich and yet never have income, is illogical on it's face. Surprised you can't see that.

He just likes to argue for the rich. Doubt he's in the 1% though.

They have been trained to vote against their own best interests. Fear and loathing works great for that.

You're just being difficult here. Nicest way to put it. I would prefer a different way, but, times are different. People are sensitive. So, you have to work with what ya got. I'm trying to have a conversation with you, and, you seem to be VERY combative, condescending, and disrespectful to what I'm trying to say.

If I'm sitting on mass acres that are paid for, (I own them) taxes paid, and all. Those acres are worth 10 million dollars, but, I OWN them, and choose to let them be, that value adds to my net worth. Right?
If I choose to barter, and trade with my neighbors, and other folks, that is just simple trade. Right? Yes, I made $400.00 selling that horse to Ed down the road.
Should I be required to report that cash transaction to the Federal Government because ownership of that land makes me worth millions?
