Kevin those low paying jobs were mostly for high school kids to earn money. If or when they shut down there will be NO jobs because if the business !eaves OR goes with having full machines which many are doing who gets screwed THE LITTLE GUY!!!

Who decides a living wage? Reality is fast food employment has never been seen as a viable career option.

If today’s youth were not so busy sitting on their derrières playing video games, it would be them working in fast food venues.

Speaking of machines. Every single McDonalds, in our close vicinity, now has ordering kiosks. Where there use to be four front counter order takers, there is only one.

The minimum wage is not 9 bucks!!now these people are replaced by robots or only given a few hours per week! Still be on food stamps

A minimum wage job was meant to bring young people into the workforce to learn how to work and be responsible, it wasn’t meant to to be a life career. But with all of the government handouts people could exist on it.
When I had a minimum wage I was looking on how to progress into a better job ( I didn’t go to college) and after working hard for other people for 26 years I started my own business and built it to 190 employees. Yes, people with no experience did start at minimum wage but earned a lot more as they learned more and were responsible. That is the way it should be.
