What really made America great was, in fact, the great economy. Workers received a decent salary and had a decent standard of living. This made them proud of their nation and willing to do what was necessary to continue their lifestyle and standard of living. Meaning they were willing to fight wars without the crying and complaining we see now. They did their best to build better and better items for both military and commercial use. They believed in the American dream, and fought for it. A booming economy is the direct result of people having money to spend. NOTHING builds a booming economy but people spending lots of money to buy goods and services, and if you cannot understand that, maybe you need to go back to school for an education so you can cease making erroneous statements. Nothing builds an economy and creates jobs but buying goods and services. No buy, no job. It really is that simple. Over the last 55 years, the wealthy and the corporate interests have steadily cut down wages, thereby reducing the standard of living for American workers. The average worker with a brain can see what has been done to them. And they have lost much of their desire to help and promote this nation as a result. Those are the facts.
