I subscribe to the Milton Friedman belief (and many other economists) that Capitalism has lifted more people out of poverty than any other form of government. Speaking of ignoring history, you may want to recall the early part of the 20th century and how the average family lived in the U.S. I am older than you by several years and I can recall how many families lived and the standard of living they had even in the forties and it isn't comparable to what is enjoyed today by virtually every family who stays together and exerts even a moderate amount of effort. This business of capitalism leading to communism is nothing more than the fantasy of a liberal. In capitalism, let's face it, there are going to be some people who get rich. But there are going to be many more who rise in income and wealth due to what has been built largely by entrepreneurship and ingenuity of those who have believed in hard work and have taken risks to build a system of government that is the envy of the world. Why do you think that millions from all over the world are streaming to this Country and making extreme efforts to get in.

You are splitting hairs. Uncontrolled Capitalism is just a term you made up. Perhaps you are referring to laissez faire, laissez aller, laissez passer- "let do, let go, let pass." Mercantilism and Feudalism are not uncontrolled capitalism. These were precursors to capitalism. Socialism and Communism have been in practice long before Rousseau and Marx wrote about them. These go back to the beginning of civilization. You have it all backward. Capitalism resulted because Mercantilism, Socialism, Feudalism, and Communism do not work and do not create wealth. Capitalism was the system that created massive wealth and brought millions and millions of people out of poverty.
