I have as a R. Senator, a certified swamp creature, (2 actually), but this particular one was my Rep. first. As my R. Rep. he often assured his constituency that any rumors of his support for Obama policies/agenda were unfounded...and to pay attention to when there was actual legislation, and he would prove his conservative bona fides. He would then vote to give Obama whatever he asked for. So, of course he went from Rep. to Senator. Keep in mind this lying piece of scum was still a better choice than any Democrat-Communist...but it is getting to the point where it's awful hard to tell the difference anymore. I have always had reservations about legislating term limits...the old adage that "term limits are built into the system...vote them out" is being outpaced/outmatched by technology...and the never ending growth of corruption/greed. We no longer have "public servants", but a bureaucratic state gobbling up our rights to feed it's needs for power/control. Maybe term limits would be a good start. The smugness of being a "professional politician" might wear off.

I think part of the problem lies in the Primary process. In the past, the Republican party seemed to support establishment type candidates, and MAGA types did not get much support. Now that Ronna McDaniel is gone, maybe there will be difference. Unfortunately, other than some newcomers winning in the Texas primary, it seems like most of the establishment types went on to win. So voters are left with voting for RINO or a Democrat come this November.
