1.) There are not nor ever will be evenly distributed population numbers in each state.
2.) Some states are winner takes all while others are pro-rated.
When you quit assuming you will realize why the Electoral college was put into play. Some states, mine included need an electoral college so that a few cities cannot control the vote for the rest of the state.

Please let me simplify this for you.

The number of Electoral College are equal to the number of Senators and Representatives on each state. Currently we have the total of 538 Representatives and Senators.

2 Senators for each 50 States =100 Senators.
Currently we have 438 Representatives for the 50 States.
Total Current Electoral College will be 538.

Presidential candidate who garnered 270 Electoral College votes wins the election, even if he loses the popular votes.

How Representatives are assigned on each 50 States.
Representatives are assigned according to the number of populations of their state. More populated states like California have more representatives.

How the Constitution assign Representatives.
Article I, Section II of the Constitution says that each state shall have at least one U.S. Representative, while the total size of a state's delegation to the House depends on its population. At present, the number of Representative cannot be greater than one for every thirty thousand people.

That is why, Biden and his team invited 12 million Illegal Aliens to America is to populate the states and to add more Democrat Representatives. Every time the Representative increases, the Electoral College also increases. Therefore, they always hold the majority Power of Congress, the White House, and also can now revise the makeup of the Supreme Court to all Democrat-Communist Justices to control power for life.

Why did the Founders Assign the Electoral College to decide the election? The purpose was to allow all states of the union to participate on this election process.

Without the Electoral College, only the biggest populated States like California, New York, and or Florida, and Texas could decide results of the election. The rests of the states are disenfranchised.

The decisions of the Founders were smart that maintained the Equal Rights for all citizens.
