First, there's is no gay gene, people are not born gay.

Second, there are at least 65 passages in the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, that deal with homosexuality, sexual deviancy, sexual depravity, and sexual perversion.

Uh….. I thought this was a place to share ideas about politics. However.. the amount of discussion about personal religious beliefs is large. What about the site dividing out religious discussions and then a separate section for politics. It is offensive to be overwhelmed with others personal beliefs while thinking you are talking politics, law , strategy, history and ideas. I would also not mind discussing religious stuff but just not when we are attempting to sort out our public life. A huge number of people are scared by Gods Army and all those mega MAGA churches and the hatred and hypocrisy coming from them. It is scary. It is also infuriating to have people jam their religious views down other peoples throats. I do not want white Christian nationalists taking over the country. I’m scared of them and they seem to have blown off Jesus and replaced him with a Christian warrior cult. We've done this Christian Army before and it has t worked out so well. Can One political Plaza consider separating the two topics?

I will agree with Lindy in general...to be a believer and claim christian faith is for each person to decide..but when many of the ones who take that position (on this forum and in this country)..it does come across as you think you have the right to tell others how they should live and think.. especially with the lgtbq individuals...I will let everyone in on what must be something that hasn't been made available information...this is that people are born gay or straight or bisexual or however....these people did not just wake up one day and suddenly decide to try something different...and for the bible people to look down on them is not fair or even right...I have known a few gay people over my life and I have had discussion with a few and the ones I have talked with are decent and contribute to the good of society...I also don't think that the bible people can claim that this is a big thing on the deity's list of bad things....I think there is only 2-3 verses in the entire bible that this is addressed..... much more in the bible addressing infidelity....like what your cult leader has engaged throughout his life..so if you are going to claim your values and such are christian based?....then remember what Jesus told Peter is the most important commandment that override all others....go out and love each other as much as I have loved you...I'm not judging anyone but sure seems that not a lot of christians do this

I have been involved in some of these " religious discussions " that you are complaining about. First no one forces you to click on these topics. Even when other topics wander into religion, no one is forcing you to read those posts.

There are many posts I choose to gloss over because they border on pornographic, are boring, are too long, or are filled with inaccuracies. If I can ignore topics and posts, so can you.

I would also like to point out that we have many Left Wingers making religious comments in these conversations. These good folks are hardly " white Christian nationalists. "
