First, there's is no gay gene, people are not born gay.

Second, there are at least 65 passages in the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, that deal with homosexuality, sexual deviancy, sexual depravity, and sexual perversion.

When Moses and the Israelites arrived at the gates of Canaan, the Promised Land was inhabited by tribes of pagans.
These pagans were a brutal and wicked culture that engaged in incredibly decadent behavior - homosexuality, bestiality, male and female prostitution, transgenderism, adultery, enslavement, torture, murder and child sacrifice.

God had given the Canaanites 400 years to repent, they rejected the offer, then came judgement.
God commanded Moses to exterminate the lot of them, every man, woman and child. “In the cities of the nations the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. Completely destroy them—the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—as the Lord your God has commanded you.”
Deuteronomy 20:16–17

A true Christian's only duty is to condemn the sin, not the sinner, and to invite, not force, the sinner to repent.
First, there's is no gay gene, people are not born... (show quote)

“First, theirs is no gay gene, people are not born gay.”
Wrong. People are born hay. We are all born wired differently.

Our personality is not in our genes. If it was identical twins would have identical personalities.

It is not, really, about denomination. It is about basic faith beliefs, which are relatively consistent across denominations.

I realize that. I'm of no faith and bits and pieces of others. I always piss someone off when I discuss my beliefs.

I just agree with OP. If you are going to start a war using scripture (see the irony) please move it. Especially if it's a book. I hate the Take THIS verse....yeah, well, I'll up you with 4. With insults while using the Bible as the weapon.

I know most people love to read it, but I'm sorry, I'm just not one of them. I don’t really need to know if Eve called Adam a SUMMABITCH when she was in labor. Though that would be cool to know.

But, if you do or don't, I've got my handy dandy scroll button for such instances.

My two cents opinion time has expired.

Rock on!

I would also not mind discussing religious stuff but just not when we are attempting to sort out our public life. A huge number of people are scared by Gods Army and all those mega MAGA churches and the hatred and hypocrisy coming from them. It is scary. It is also infuriating to have people jam their religious views down other peoples throats. I do not want white Christian nationalists taking over the country. I’m scared of them and they seem to have blown off Jesus and replaced him with a Christian warrior cult. We've done this Christian Army before and it has t worked out so well. Not one Christian on this forum is forcing you to live and think as they do!!! Quoting scripture is not force!! You are total hypocrite talking about forcing anyone to live as they do as LGBTQs shove their lifestyles in other people faces with their gay parades and suing Christian bakers!! God loves every human on this planet but Hr totally condemns the lifestyles of many!!

I have been involved in some of these " religious discussions " that you are complaining about. First no one forces you to click on these topics. Even when other topics wander into religion, no one is forcing you to read those posts.

There are many posts I choose to gloss over because they border on pornographic, are boring, are too long, or are filled with inaccuracies. If I can ignore topics and posts, so can you.

I would also like to point out that we have many Left Wingers making religious comments in these conversations. These good folks are hardly " white Christian nationalists. "

===============
Christians built this country, a Christian nation. All documents framed at the Christian-Judeo principles of equality, freedom, and love for one another. There is one Christian God.

Others are allowed to worship Satan or other gods as long as they don't commit satanic crimes. They have their freedom to live in peace among all people here.

You must be ignorant of the history of this country. There are those who came from outside want to demand their own culture and ignorance to run the lives of the people here.

The Christians are the generations of those who built and sacrificed for this nation. They fought and died for this country, or their families did.

If you came from other country, don't like and not happy with this Christian nation, the door is wide open for you to get out. Non-Christians are allowed, must come legally, and must not commit crimes against others.

Who said anything about hating God. See there you go with the anger. It’s really ok to talk politics without bringingGod into it. It doesn’t mean whoever doesn’t like want need God in their life.
Everyone’s concept of God is different. We have 8 B people on the planet and each one has a different experience so since it is entirely a personal experience, why try to put your concept of God into a political discussion. No one hates God, that’s just silly

Yes there are people who hate God - a lot of them do. We also see a lot of that on this forum.

I would like to point out that God is not mentioned in the Constitution. Now with the way things are going, I imagine at some point the right will make sure God is in the constitution but right now there is no reason to think this is a Christian country. At least we aren’t acting like one.
