It has always been that way . The Haitians have destroyed their half of the island and even tried to invade the Dominican Republic for the purpose of taking more land that was not destroyed .

Like everything else, not all Haitians are bad. I've had two former employee's from Haiti and they were excellent workers and very polite. Even now that I'm retired they keep in touch and if I need help they've never refused.

First there was Papa Doc, then Baby Doc. For a while after his demise, Haiti has a reasonable government. Now it's governed by gangs. Looks like they can't get a break.
