That maybe true. That would force farms to reform how workers are paid. It's not that Americans won't work the fields. They won't work them for free. Most farms are owned by corporations. Corporations are exploiting workers. I worked usda as an inspector. A nursery owner told me straight up. He would not hire Americans because he would have to pay benefits and a descent wage. Change how workers in the field are paid. You'll see the crops being harvested.

My normal work schedule is a 12 hours per day, in my spare time my wife and I ( both in our 60s) manage a small farm.
Alot of hard work but also very rewarding.
I hear this is a country of rule and law, but I see those rules and laws are selectively applied.

My husband did that with no pay as a child on a cotton farm out of Waco, Tx.

Well have you ever worked the fields? I have. Gilroy Ca-early 70's along with my serogate brothers and sisters, all of which are American born citizens. So you take this "lie" and try to make it a reality when it's not. Here's an incident I wittnessed, white guy in his 30's comes in to get job working in the fields and is denied a job, yet they continued hiring migrants and teens throughout day. I asked one of the men on site about the situattion because the white guy seemed desparate for a job and he saiid "they probably think he's an informant spying for the gov". So what that tells me "if you're concerned about hiring an informent, YOU are probably doing something illegal". Wonder how many whites/blacks/asians are refused work in the field because of the color of their skin and thier integrity to the law??
