Congress passed a bill last week to extend the appropriations deadlines to March 8 and March 22. The latest spending bill includes a $850,000 earmark for a bus stop and $1.8 million to expand an LGBTQ community center.. MY COMMENT: Really! A $2 Trillion annual Defecit, and $34 Trillion National Debt, and these clowns have the gall to put forward these types of earmarks!!!

Congress passed a bill last week to extend the first appropriations deadline to Friday, March 8 and the second to Friday, March 22. ...

According to the House and Senate Appropriations committees, "the legislation is expected to be considered first in the House and then later this week by the Senate." In addition, the committees announced that the "remaining six appropriations bills for fiscal year 2024 are expected to be released in the coming days and be voted on ahead of their expiration on March 22."

The legislation contains a lengthy list of earmarks from both Republican and Democrat lawmakers. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., said the first six appropriations bills contain a whopping 605 pages of earmarks. (https://appropriations.house.gov/fiscal-year-2024-community-project-funding)

They cannot vote for any single bill with only what America needs. They all have to jump on the bus with their pet projects.

The result will be: the debt will climb, dollar will collapse, benefits will be cut, property will be sold for a song, people will ransack the grocery stores, lawlessness will prevail, civil war will break out and the military will be called upon to try to keep the peace.

What do you or anyone else think about the issue of a presidential line item veto?

If congress is so dysfunctional and broken, then why not let the president line item veto any spending that he deems unacceptable? if congress feels that strongly about a particular item, then let them overide the presidential veto, and take their chances defending such decisions to the American public.

That would be the way to go. That would remove all the trash from the bills and we may get back to a fiscally responsible government.

Biden will not use the line item veto. He would rather use the line item supplement. He will find more ways to spend American taxpayers hard earned money.

Then he will order the treasury to print more money so the price of everything will go up further. More money printed means higher inflation, higher prices and an increase in the misery index. Biden is on a trajectory to topple the economy!

I was thinking more in terms of the next Trump presidency (provided he is not assassinated or the cheating is insufficient to deprive him of his next term.

I would agree. If our country could get to a point where the debt clock could run in reverse, that would be a huge positive.

Maybe we should sell Hawaii to the Japanese and take $10 Trillion and reduce the debt. (Just joking)

The only thing the country can do now to reduce the debt is sell our assets, tax imports, sell our oil (tax the oil exports), eliminate wasteful spending on left wing and woke initiatives that have no value.
