Garvey's ideas are pretty simple and as he says "Common Sense." Not much of that in D.C..

Sure, Steve Garvey has name recognition in California for his years as First Baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres from 1969-1987. You can read more about his baseball accomplishments on the internet. Overall, Garvey was an NL All-Star for 10 seasons. He holds the NL record for consecutive games played with 1,207. The Padres retired Garvey's No. 6 in 1988.

He may have a chance. I don't know a lot about his campaign but I will check out his web site. I will get back to you after I learn more. Yes Miracles do happen and maybe here in TX Ted Cruz may be out of job also.(Alred is closing in on him).
