Another related issue is that deaths in childbirth also increased significantly in those states prohibiting abortion. I do not recall the exact percentage at present, but it is real and significant. So far as I’m concerned, trump is causing the deaths of thousands of women who did not need to die. I blame much or most of those deaths on religions which support halting abortions. Perhaps these are unintended consequences, but those women are dying unnecessarily as a result of religions and the GOP. It is way past time to stop the church from interfering with medical care of women.
